Easy to clean and great cooking

We have had this range for just over a year and we love it! The white is very easy to keep clean and the 5 burners make cooking for guests wonderful. The middle burner is especially great for our casseroles.

Turkey Day for 45 guests is saved by GE (again)!

Twenty-three years ago, I bought my first GE sealed top gas freestanding range; I did so because my wife and I had just moved back to NY from VA and had no range to put into our apartment, and we were supposed to cook Thanskgiving dinner four days later...I'm so glad I did! After twenty-three years of meals, moves, desserts, self-cleans, etc., my trusty GE range died on the Monday before Thanksgiving, 2014. Without hesitating, I went back to the appliance store and bought a new GE range (some new bells and whistles but still GE). I picked up my new range in a blizzard on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and had it installed and tested within an hour. Bright and early the next morning, my new GE range was busy saving Thanksgiving dinner for it's debut run...for 45 dinner guests! Being able to make gravy over the center oval burner while still using the other four surface burners is a REAL time and temper saver! I know I will buy another GE range in another twenty some odd years (if need be)!

Love my new range!

I bought this range a month ago and absolute love it. It is solid, no uneven grates like my old gas range that made my pot and pans cook unevenly. It has other great features such as a true convection oven, a simmer burner that really works and I love the large center burner and griddle.

Great Range

I purchased this range as a replacement for one that was well over 20 years old. The features on this range are fantastic!! The varying BTU burners and teh Tri-flame burner makes the stove top cooking versatile. The oven with 3 racks is great for baking more than one sheet of cookies at a time. I am glad I went up a few steps in purchasing this range!!!

Poor quality, not worth the money!

Our stove was installed 3 months ago and we have had non stop issues since day one. The stove top and front was scratched. Several new tops were sent to our home....most were damaged right out of the box. The service techs that were sent stripped the screws on the new pieces and we are still waiting for that to be fixed. The grates on top of the stove are all scratched and appear to have white marks on them. We were told that is from putting pots and pans on the stove top.....isn't that what a stove top is for?! The burners are all discolored from use and I am afraid to even drop crumbs on the stove because the poor quality finish scratches with the slightest touch.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

THE ONLY CONCERN I HAVE IS THAT EACH TIME I TRY TO OPERATE TNE STEAM CLEAN IT WILL NOT OPERATE UNLESS I GO TO THE CIRCUIT BREAKER AND TURN IT OFF THEN ONE AGAIN. THE STEAM CLEAN THEN WILL WORK.

I purchased this stove when I was in the thick of baking Christmas cookies. I love the convection feature - the fact that you set it to the temp you want, and it automatically adjusts. The three racks are great as well. I'm looking forward to trying it out for Easter dinner. Not really impressed with the "steam" feature. I baked a pie and it spilled over - thought the steam feature would clean it back to new but that didn't happen. I love the super burner - boils water quickly but have noticed that there is not a lot of difference in the intensity of the flame from numbers 7 to 3 or 2 - seems to be the same height. Overall I'm happy with the stove. I wish I had looked into one with proofing as I like to bake yeast breads and completely forgot that they offer that feature. The drawer in the bottom is roomy - I have some pots and muffin pans as well as a baking dish. I haven't used the griddle - you have to preheat for a long time and I don't want to use that much time or gas. The controls are easy to use and well placed. I didn't realize the top is bowed so the things I used to have on the top of my older stove with a flat top cannot go on the top of my new one but it's not a deal breaker. All in all, I'm very pleased with the stove.
