Range is a big disappointment

I purchased this unit several months ago and gave myself time to get used to the change of a new stove top and oven. It hasn't happened. It is virtually impossible to control the temperature in the 6"/9"/12" burner. It is only useful for high temperature applications such as boiling water. Forget trying to saute or cook anything on "low", as there is no control of low temperatures. This stove is a total disappointment. I love to cook, and now find myself constrained by a burner that is useful only to burn my meals! I wish I never bought this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Gorgeous Stove

This stove was purchased long with the GE Profile Fridge, and OTR Microwave. I appreciate the beauty of this stove and its easy to keep the flat surface clean compared to my last stove with the coil burners. I am having a hard time with cooking on the burner with a medium heat. It seems like once the pan is hot it stays hot and then I have to set it to low for the rest of the cooking time. The lower convection oven still uses the same length of time but doesn't make the food ever turn golden brown. So when I make cookies they tend to appear pale even though they are cooked. So I am still learning how to make this oven work for my needs.

Love the feel of a double oven

The surface gets to temperature very fast, makes boiling water a breeze.
Having two ovens is great, you can use the smaller one to heat up a piece of pizza or bake a cake. The bottom oven is plenty big the racks adjust easily. Only complaint would be if you put the rack all the way at the bottom with the door open it doesn't slide out completely.
