[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Go for the step up model form this one if looking into Bosch double ovens. We changed out to them and are happy now.
The fan noise was annoying from the beginning, but now after a year it has become unbearable. Absolutely discusting considering what we paid for this supposedly 'high end' double oven. My grandmothers 30 year old 'builder grade' oven is way quieter than this thing - it sounds like a cheap sink disposal - but it never stops till the oven cools down! Grrrrrrr :(
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not happy with the way I have to set the temperature. If I try to advance it it isn’t a smooth transition and I often have to turn oven off and start again. I like the ovens
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bosch 500 Series double wall ovens are extremely attractive to look at, but also perform as well as they look. We have used both ovens since installing them about a month ago, and they are very straight forward in operating, and bake, broil, etc. wonderfully. The quality is outstanding. We can highly recommend them!!
We bought this to replace a previous Bosch 5000 series Convection/Conventional oven HBL5055A after a power surge damaged the display board and replacement parts were no longer available. First, this oven was larger and didn’t fit my cabinetry requiring modifications. We were able to deal with this, BUT we Detest the touchpad! Either they should have kept the additional knob control to dial in the temperature or also the ability to separate the hours from minutes, or give a number keypad like on the Bosch Convection Microwave HMC87152UC. We constantly have to hold the + or - button which ALWAYS overshoots our desired temperature AND timer time. Terrible design!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The best part is the fact that I have 2 ovens and they cook at the temperature I set them to - nice even heat. I use them together at least once a week. The bad part - my digital display for the middle two digits has faded for the second time in just over a year. The timer is awful to set and so many reviews complained about it. It’s super sensitive and goes from 5 to 25 in a light tap -but it’ll teach you patience! I use my phone timer. Way easier. The other issue, which I never even thought to look for when buying - it does NOT have a delay start cook time. I didn’t know that ovens existed without being able to set your oven to come on and shut off by itself but my Bosch doesn’t have that luxury. It does cook well but it has some issues. If you don’t mind the lacking delay cook time, crazy timer and display that may fail - it does do what it’s suppose to and that’s bake, roast etc. It’s good at that!
