I don’t like it. The sync is always a problem

I wanted a golf watch that tracked my shots. And of course showed distance. You need to do too many things to be sure that happens. It does way too much for a golf watch. And that makes it more difficult to with.

Speed of use

The S60 is a great looking multi functioning watch. Only used 3 times so far. Today it took at least 3 holes for satalite to find the course I was on. Once it was found it worked great.
The view of the hole you play on is very clear, and easily change the hole if needed. I’m giving 4 stars due to slow loading if satalight.

Best GPS I've owned

Had this about 6 months. Once I was able to verify the yardages (they can be different from cart GPS) I gained 100% confidence in the unit. Once you find all the hidden features it's remarkable.

Personal Review - 20 + Rounds

I have over 20 rounds with this GPS watch...it is EXTREMELY accurate and quickly calculates distance. It has many features (swing tempo, truswing, walk, run, bike, swim, but I only use it for distances on the golf course. I might use the walk/miles feature to get a sense for how far I walked, but the score card gives you that. I do NOT use it as a stand alone watch. Battery life is somewhat acceptable...typically 40 - 55% per 18 holes. Therefore it needs to be charged before every round. I did not use the "range to bunker, water, etc." it takes to long and to difficult seek distances to bunkers or water. It would be an AWESOME watch if golf course uploaded their pin placement EVERYDAY and GARMIN could give distances to the pin, versus front, center and back of green. And finally, it would be great if Garmin could allow users to program their watches with their own distance data per club...hence, when 150 yards from center, a small 8 would appear to suggest an 8 iron.

It is really accurate and once figured out irons pretty easy to use. Lots of features that I won’t use but if you are electronics savvy you will love it.

I had issues playing a course today. One time it would show one distance from tee. And next time I looked it would be 30 are more yards different. I was having to use score card and gps on golf cart

Great Golf Gizmo

Graduated from the Garmin S1 to the S60. This is a great product. I use it every time I play. It has numerous activities and benefits. I especially like the shot tracker, score keeper, distance pinpointer, truswing, tempo monitor. If you use a lot of the features during your round, you may not be able to get two rounds recorded before the need for a charge. The visuals are great. You will have no problem seeing them in bright sunlight. Locating satellites takes a bit. So start up the device before you get to the first tee. I have a laser rangefinder and I find myself using it sparingly, if at all. Highly recommend, if the price is not an issue.

Best GPS Watch I have Found

Great watch and iPhone app interface. The on course information is clear and easily accessible. Moving to green view and/or landing areas is easy and the best I have seen. I like the score keeping functionality, but am especially impressed by the shot tracking you are able to review later. Somehow it knows when you hit shots and plots position and distances for each, making a post round review really easy. My only gripe is the phone does not pair every time with my iPhone; I need to power off the watch and power it back on with the iPhone app running to get it to pay sometimes. Otherwise it is a great tool.
