Noticeably quieter than T500

We have two of the Alen T500 units, purchased in the past 2 years. Those are good and reliable, with good filter life in general household (bedroom) use. Went with the BreatheSmart FLEX unit this time as I wanted something quieter, and it is definitely that. When running on its lowest speed, it's quieter than the air conditioning. On speed 2, it's about the same level of noise as when our air conditioning is blowing through the vents, maybe slightly louder than that. By comparison, I'd say the T500 on its lowest speed is slightly louder than the BreatheSmart FLEX on speed 2. However, having run the T500 in my bedroom at night, I would characterize it as white noise that can easily be tolerated, and might even be helpful to those who like white noise for sleep. The downside of the BreatheSmart FLEX is it takes up more floor space than the T500.

Can’t kill this cigarette smell

The cigarette smoke from my neighbor’s apartment can still be smelled in my apartment. Manager said we share the same duct system. The machine is right next to one of the vents and all of the windows are open -and the front door is open. These neighbors must smoke ALOT!
The filter is ‘odor’- specific and IF it’s working, it’s not strong enough to combat this lingering/ongoing cigarette stench.
Not sure anything will.

After a full search, I chose to order this model for our bedroom. It runs quietly and has cut down on the dust in the room. I also purchased a refurbished model, and it is performing equally well.

It’s the best thing ever!

It’s the best thing ever! I have allergy induced asthma and am feeling better already! I purchased 3 breathe smart flex models! It’s super quiet compared to other air purifiers I’ve had. The sound is almost inaudible! I’m supper happy about my air purifiers!!

This purifier is awesome!! The air smells better, the dust is reduced greatly! We purchased one and then purchased two more shortly after that for other rooms. We have four dogs so pet dander was an issue, we vacuum filters off once every 1-2 weeks, you would not believe the dust these things capture, give one a try, I guarantee you'll want more for other rooms!
