Alen Breathesmart Flex

So far my Alen Breathesmart flex is doing great. It is helping to clean the air and catch larger particles that cause my allergies to flair. I can see a difference in my air quality. The unit is also pretty quiet. I used to have another brand of air purifier and it was louder on the same setting. Overall I'm very happy with the purifier and find it to be a pretty lookingbunit.

I'm use to having allergies

I'm use to having allergies but after a particularly horrible 2 weeks of pure allergy misery I ordered this. The day it arrived I immediately set it up, which us extremely easy, and turned it on high. After about 2 hours I was feeling much better and by night time I could breathe and the runny nose and itchy eyes were gone! I love this thing!

My husband was told by his doctor to get a hepa air purifier for the bedroom to help with his allergies. We researched our options and decided on the BreatheSmart Flex for two reasons. A larger Alen air purifier was chosen the best unit by Consumer Reports for 2022 and we wanted to buy from a company whose main product was air purifiers not toaster ovens or coffee pots. Our purifier arrived within a week of purchase. It was packaged with engineering precision (think Apple product.) I love the way it looks and it was very easy to set up. We installed the filter and plugged it in. The flex unit has 4 speeds. We leave it on 24/7 usually at speed 2 or 3. During the night we turn it to speed 1 and it is so quiet I have gotten out of bed to see if it is working. Does it work? My husband has been sleeping better, less sneezing and nose blowing. But the real pollen season for our area is just getting started, so we are cautiously optimistic. I have noticed that the kitchen odors we sometimes smelled in our second floor bedroom are nonexistent. Finally, I like the replacement filter subscription plan. We signed up when we registered our air purifier. It makes sense to use an Alen filter in our unit because it's only going to work as well as the filter you use.

DOESN'T CLEAN 100%

I use this in my small bedroom which is 210 sq, ft. I can honestly say that it really doesn't clean as well as mentioned. I notice a month later that there is always dirt and dust on top of the unit itself and also on my dresser and elsewhere. The fan inside the housing unit is just not powerful enough to clean an entire room, My room is a little cleaner now that my dogs are sleeping in my living room.

Sleek + Quiet

I love how quiet this air purifier is on the lower speeds. Super sleek and modern looking…love that it can sit right up against the wall. I bought the heavy smoke filter to help with VOCs after painting and though it took a day or two on top speed initially to really get the smell out, the room always smells nice now.

I didn't realized that Alen BreatheSmart FLEX doesn't have the particle light indicator and auto speed features like the 45i and 75i. I have replaced it with another 45i which I like very much.
