I bought this few year ago, the inside of the black part is coming out so bad I can not even see the measurement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This rice cooker is just perfect. I have used it for long grain rice as well as brown rice and every time the rice has come out absolutely perfect. I had an old rival rice cooker and I just didn't get the quality of cooked rice from it, so I researched and found this brand to be highly recommended. It's worth the purchase price and of top quality. I highly recommend.

If you're using other grains and there’s no water-level line for those in your pan, you can use the same measuring cup for water, following the instructions: https://www.zojirushi.com/grains/. This is the best rice cooker! The rice comes out moist and flavorful. It is also easy to clean and maintain. Over the years I have owned many rice cookers but none as thoughtfully constructed and easy to maintain as its one.
