Beloved toy but Velcro doesn't Velcro

We were gifted this for Christmas and my son LOVES it! But the Velcro did not last long, only about 2 weeks. So now we have to hold it together to cut.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The velcro is too weak for the wooden objects. After 1 month of occasional and supervised use, the vegetables no longer stay together and several velcro pieces are missing. My biggest problem however is storage. Surely some type of cover or way to contain the pieces should be included. Very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Weak velcro

I bought this one week ago for my daughter and I am very disappointed in the quality. I am shocked because Melissa and Doug toys are normally my favorite very high quality toys however this cutting fruit set is very disappointing. Multiple pieces barely hold together and it’s brand new. It seems like the design is bad and the Velcro needs to stick out more than it does to actually be affective.
