I love this "oven"!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this toaster oven at no charge. I've never had a toaster oven before; I never thought I needed one. I have an oven, a toaster, and a microwave, so why would I need a toaster oven? Why indeed. I gave away my toaster, it's too warm to use my oven, and my microwave is slowing down and losing power. I love my new toaster oven! Besides toast (duh) it makes fantastic melted cheese sandwiches, cooks pizza like a pro (no more cold pizza from delivery), reheats leftovers, and is easy to clean. What more could you ask?

The little pizza oven that could!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toaster oven is good for what it claims to do. It is a smaller toaster oven, but it still performs nicely and does quite a bit. It would be fantastic for one or two people. The following options fit for one toasting/baking cycle
three bakery style bagel halves
4-5 refrigerated bagel halves
6 mini bagel halves (great for mini pizzas)
4-5 toaster waffles (4 round, 5 square)
4-5 toaster pastries
4-6 English muffin halves (depending on brand)
4 crumpets
personal frozen pizza
3 pizza pockets
6 refrigerated or frozen cookie or brownie portions
4 slices of bread (standard loaf or Texas Toast)
2 slices of bread (wide pan)
1 bolillo or hoagie roll sliced lengthwise in half for French bread style pizza
2 smaller chicken breast halves, 4 thighs or 5 tenders
2 meat counter burger patties or six sliders
3 kid servings of frozen fries or tots
The toasting and baking has been even. I agree with the "start lighter and tweak" manual recommendation for toasting. The design does not automatically pull out the rack with the open door, but that is not important to me.

I only had two issues with the unit and they had nothing to do with performance. The manual made the timer function seem more awkward than it actually is. The biggest issue I had with the unit is that there need to be a removable sticker/label sealing the door closed that states that is a 10 minute preheat "burn in" prior to the first use. Yes, it is in the manual. However, if it is not your first toaster oven, you may not be inclined to check the manual for a slice of toast. I read the manual thoroughly prior to first use and knew what to expect. I could see someone wanting to take it back to the store as defective if they glossed over that important piece of information though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first toaster oven I have ever used and I don't know why I never used one before! I cooked a pizza, made toast, cooked fish,reheated leftovers,etc.. The pizza cooked perfectly in this little oven, I was so impressed with it. It cooked just as good as if it was in a regular oven except it was so much easier. It did an awesome job with my toast as well. It crisped things up just as I hoped it would. Very easy to use, the door goes up so it's not in your way when you take hot food out of it and because it does you can access your food while it's cooking.I just think that it's a great cooking tool to have in your kitchen!! The only thing I have to comment about is the tray. It seemed to leave some residue or something on it after cooking the toast. Didn't totally clean up(even after referring to the manual about cleanup).Overall it is a great, great, great product!!!!!!!!!!! Won't be cooking much in the big oven anymore!!

Great value for the money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hamilton Beach 4-slice toaster oven is attractive, compact, and would fit well on any counter top. For bagel lovers, the bagel toaster is a very nice feature. The oven maintains an even temperature. The toaster toasts English muffins well, although standard breads toast somewhat unevenly. The removable crumb catcher is handy feature. However, II think that for older people, or people with vision problems, larger control dials would be an improvement. Overall, I am very pleased with the performance of the Hamilton Beach 4-Slice Toaster Oven. And I think it is a great value.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hubby and I loves toast but our old toast doesn't seem to work as how we wanted our toast to come out. We've seen the Hamilton Beach 4-Slice Toaster online and thought we could try it. It works great! It toast evenly on both sides! How I wish it was bigger but other than that we are very happy with our new Hamilton Beach Toaster! I would definitely recommend it!!!

Looks good. A little smaller than I expected, but still functional for 4 slices of toast. Won't fit my small toaster oven pans but will fit an 1/8 bake sheet. I have been very happy with all my Hamilton Beach products. Looks like this is user friendly too. Thank you.
