Hamilton Beach Coffee maker

Almost , because this coffeemaker is supposed to be easy access and you are NOT supposed to have to move it out from under the above cabinet.Some cabinets are lower than the normal because the water cannot be poured into it if it is all the way back to the wall on the counter.So this feature does not work . It is a tall coffee maker.As far as the rest of the features they are all wonderful! You can program the timer to have coffee made at any time you choose and it will automatically turn itself on at the time you program in. That in itself is very easy to do. It has options for the type of brew you want from light to dark! It has yet another option that you can choose to brew only 4 cups if needed. Best feature is the automatic shut off. This machine will turn off after 2 hours. This is great! I have forgotten to turn off my coffee maker when pressed for time leaving the house for work. Now I know if I forget, it will shut off for me! The handle on the coffee pot is small enough for small hands. Not bulky at all. The spout pours where you want it. No spilling! The clock lights up. That's nice! It makes very flavorful coffee too!

I love Hamilton Beach products and look for them first when shopping home/kitchen appliances. I have been using a Keurig coffee maker, but the coffee pods, not to mention the landfills filling up with used coffee pods, made me rethink my choice of coffee makers. This machine is easily programmable (even for someone who is as technologically challenged as I) and has a fresh pot of coffee waiting for me when I get up in the morning. Even when using it in the middle of the afternoon, the coffee is easily made. The machine has a front-loading water cavity which means I don't have to pull the machine out from the wall to fill it. It 12 cups of coffee and one time and takes just a few minutes to brew. It also has a basket for the coffee grounds which means I don't have to worry about the cost of individual coffee pods or the landfill! It cleans easily, came with easily understood directions and a water filter. It is the water filter that lowered my rating from a five star to a four star rating. The directions, which are clear for the rest of the machine, left me wondering how to get the filter in the machine. I finally figured out where to put it but couldn't get it in, even with the applicator that the directions show inserting the filter. The directions also indicated that the filter wasn't included, but it was and even the directions stated that the instructions were for filter replacements. I finally decided to leave it out (the instructions indicated it was optional), since I use filtered water anyway. One other small thing I don't like: I've had other Hamilton Beach appliances that have suction cups on the bottom of the machine so that they don't slide. This one doesn't so it does slide, something that might be a problem for thos of us with cats who climb on counters when we aren't looking! On the whole, however, I would and have recommended this coffee maker to my neighbor who has been looking for a new machine. Like me, she's tired of only getting one cup of coffee when she really wants to drink several.

Very nice coffee maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brews a great cup of coffee and with the “auto pause” feature, coffee is quickly available. Only four stars as this brewer requires cone shaped filters & even though a water filter is available, the pod needs to be replaced after 30 cycles, which can get pricey if one enjoys java!

Classic style and features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third Hamilton Beach coffee maker and by far the best. With the front loading water and coffee basket, it has a design that allows it to be placed on the counter under the cabinets but looks great on an open counter as well. There is a small amount of steam that comes out the top so I might be concerned about that discoloring the wood cabinets if was placed under them. The selection buttons are large and easily identifiable. The "time since brew" feature is something new to me and is very helpful. The option of the 1 - 4 cups brewing selection is helpful if you don't want to go through the brewing process for a large pot of coffee. We are Seattle residents so like our coffee bold so having that feature is great.

It Does Make Coffee

Display Visibility – Nice large numbers. Very easy to read.
Coffee Brewing – Did a nice job with the actual brew. Coffee tasted great.
Steam Release – Steam vents are towards the front of the top which helps avoid the bottom of cabinets from getting hit with steam.
Coffee Filter Basket – Easy access to the coffee / filter basket for easy filling.
Brew Options – Nice to have 1-4 cup; regular; or bold brewing options. But, you cannot select 1-4 cups AND Bold.
Programmable – Nice to program brewing especially for the morning. However, instructions say to unplug the coffee maker after use which renders programming useless if unplugged. You would have to reset everything when you plug it back in.
Display Visibility – Nice large numbers. Very easy to read.

This is a Premium Drip Coffee Maker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this a couple of weeks ago and it is excellent! It has an optional filter which you change after 30 uses so you don't have to add filtered water since it filters it internally. What's really cool is it tells you when it's ran 30 cycles, which is when you need to change the filter if your use it, and clean the coffee maker with vinegar. The part you add water in is in the front so you can place the coffee maker partially under a cabinent without having to move it to add water. It has a nice display for time, brewing options of regular, bold or 1-4 cups, and is programmable.
