Love but bristles break off easily

My child has been using this toothbrush for about six months. She loves brushing her teeth with it. However, the bristles break off easily and I know that she has swallowed some of them. I supervise her brushing of course, but good luck trying to teach a child to brush their own teeth while also only brushing them yourself to prevent hard chewing. I love the foreo brand, but will have to try out the kids brush even though my daughter is only 2. I would recommend a redesign of this product.

While we are aware some children do chew on their toothbrushes, we emphasize it is of utmost importance to supervise your child while brushing their teeth in order to ensure their safety.

It's a super struggle to get my 1 year old to brush her teeth at all. This toothbrush makes things a lot easier. She really likes the tickly feeling from the vibration and holding it herself. It's a great size for her. There are two vibration options- higher and lower. She doesn't mind either. I thought maybe she wouldn't like this brush and I'm so relieved she does. After the initial short charge when we got it, we haven't had to charge it again. She still bites the toothbrush but hasn't put any holes in it yet. Her bamboo toothbrush bristles are mangled from her constant biting but this toothbrush is very sturdy. I like that even though she's not too good at moving the brush around, at least it's doing something while sitting in her mouth. I really like that there are no replacement brush heads. I only wish that they offered silicone recycling or a take back program. Foreo needs to be responsible for the products they put in the world by offering closed loop recycling. Silicone lasts forever and doesn't break down in nature.

However, please note that ISSA™ Mikro is not a chewing toy and our warranty does not cover cosmetic deterioration caused by fair wear and tear, or damage caused by accident, misuse or neglect. Furthermore, please note that as per the ISSA ™ mikro user manual, 'vigorous chewing may cause damage to the silicone cover of the toothbrush over time. Babies and young children should always be supervised by a responsible adult while using the toothbrush.' Please be extra careful, as it is possible for the silicone to break amid all the biting. It is also important to emphasize that our company policy usually requires you to send the device back to us so that we can properly dispose of it before sending you a replacement. Please note that all FOREO devices are recyclable. Once you disassemble your device, and once it is safe to go outside, you can take the device to your local electronics recycling center. Most electronic waste facilities will gladly accept and recycle FOREO devices. Another option is to dispose of parts individually if your local electronics recycling center will not take the FOREO device as a whole unit. Toothbrush lasted a few months

17 month old baby loved this toothbrush, however she is only 17 months old. Even while supervised, she'll bite down on the brush. I'll pull it away and we'll continue brushing - she's supervised at all times. Regardless, this led to the bristles coming off just like other reviewers mentioned. I know the company replied to those other reviews that this is not a chew toy -- obviously it's not a chew toy and we know that. The issue is that if the toothbrush is advertised for 0-4 years it should work for babes under 2 that have a tendency to chew the moment something enters their mouth - it's perfectly natural. So, I gave them 2 stars because if you baby is 2+ or not a chewer, this toothbrush is fantastic. But if your baby chews on anything that enters their mouth - even under constant supervision the toothbrush will fall apart after a couple of months.

It’s a hit

I love this brush and so does my little boy. He does end up biting it some of the time, but the fact he lets us brush his teeth every time is amazing, and the bristles are so soft. One thing i didn’t realize is that the little monster holder does not come with it (maybe I should have) and I don’t know why but the the lights are always frowning :) either way it’s changed the way he brushes his teeth, worth the cost

My daughter is loving it, unfortunately she is using it a bit too much. So she bit through the head of the brush. Little too pricey, if this can happen after 3days using. :(

Bristle missing

I got this for my 13 month old daughter. She loved the tooth brush, really enjoying brushing. However under 2 weeks of using, I noticed that one piece of bristle on the edge was missing. I reckon it was bitten off, likely ended up in her belly.

We received the ISSA Mikro Sunflower Yellow tooth brush, which was packaged very well, and provided it to our daughter (17months old). She loves it and we have trouble removing it from her. I'm sure a child's teeth have never been this clean before. It is a great product which our daughter loves. We hope to get many years use out of it and would recommend it to anyone.
