The smasher is smashing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the stainless finish and the smashing/compacting is solid. My biggest disappointment is when opening with the foot, it still requires finishing the opening with the handle. My prior model would pop open wide enough to drop the garbage without using the handle, also.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Trash Compactor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this compactor to replace an older one by a different company. I like the greater compaction ratio and the power ram feature. Both of these features are well worth the additional cost. It also has a heavy metal handle at the top of the drawer. The one that this one replaced had a plastic handle that was starting to crack when used to open the drawer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this a month ago - works as well as the one it replaced (had for 20+ years) the extra pack works great. If able to change one thing... I'd like the "foot" pedal to be black - imagine over time the white will become marred.
