[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was still in denial about not having my Note 7. I had to settle for the 7 edge and was so disappointed. But now Im on cloud 9 again. The S8 plus is just what was needed. The size of the screen and memory is exactly what Samsung needed to get back on top.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned Samsung products for awhile now and this is yet to be my favorite product this far. The sleek design is gorgeous to carry around, and the features of the device is top notch. I would highly recommend this device to all of my friends and family.
The phone itself is a gorgeous rocket ship. If you don't believe that, go to google streets and put it in interactive mode. It's unreal, you move the phone and it's as if you're there, looking at a high definition picture in all directions. It's jaw-dropping! That's the good news. The bad news is that there is a firmware bug that causes a constant stream of popup errors: "DQA stopped." Also, I have had a terrible experience with the speech to text engine, which I require because of my handicap. It just simply doesn't work very well. Given the processing power, I suspect that this is an implementation problem that will be fixed. Remainder of review deleted to comply with review guidelines.
I was forced to give up my Note 4 (it died), but the S8+ has not disappointed. I really do miss my stylus, but I'm getting used to it. I love Samsung phones! There is one thing I don't like about this phone though, the speaker is on the bottom instead of the back. When I hold it, my pinkie is always covering it up. When I put it in my pocket or purse holder, I have to make sure I put it up side down or I won't hear it ring. Only a little pain in the hiney though.
I was impressed by the smooth touch glide of the screen. Easy to maneuver from screen to screen. It has a equalizer to adjust audio sounds for voice and music. It's like a mini tablet and phone all in one.
