My phone started out great but has been nothing but a series of problems since. I've dealt with hardware failures like cell signal going out and never coming back, grey spots appearing on the screen and never going away, and the speaker crapping out randomly during calls on speakerphone.
So not only has quality control been bad on this device, but the interface on the website and in emails for when you send your phone in for repairs is a complete and total mess. It's almost like nobody in the company bothered to send in a phone for repairs and test their systems.
Besides these issues, performance has gotten much worse in less than a year along with battery life. Classic Samsung. Not sure why I still bother. Just buy a Pixel or an iPhone.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality, poor quality control
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

constantly goes from a regular account to one for developers which means some how I have almost 2 of every app.. cannot get it to update. full of malware

I thought the phone would have more purple tone but iwas wrong. So far happy with it.

This phone was a big step up from my Galaxy S5

The phone has quick speeds,great camera, and long battery life. There are so many options and features it is taken me awhile to figure out. I do have a problem with sending emails but need to contact customer support to figure out.

Excellent piece of mobile equipment after a long time

Wanted to have a large display (6"+) phone for a while and the S8+ is a choice like no other. Ultra-smooth performance with the 4GB RAM on board, although would have liked if the RAM capacity was more (6GB at least). Amazing display and camera features. Battery life could be improved a bit more as I believe 3500mAh isn't sufficient for a device as power-hungry as the S8+. But, overall it's an excellent phone. Highly recommended for old galaxy owners as well as people who are getting into Galaxy phones for the first time, like me.
