Battery life is okay. Better than my previous, four year old phone, but even with battery saver on you don't get much more than a day of moderate usage. Bixby has worse recognition than the default Google Now and has less capability. What's more, the physical Bixby button is far too sensitive and frequently activates in my pocket; even with a password the phone would frequently start playing Youtube videos from my pocket. The "gorilla glass" is disappointingly fragile. My device has cracked twice in the last week, once IN MY POCKET after going over a speed bump, and once after dropping it less than a foot. In both instances the phone was inside of a case.
This phone is amazing, image better than great. Super fast, advanced camera system. Would have given 5 ☆ if screen wasn't so fragile. And that is the BUT. When I got this phone, day of release, cases were few and far between and obscenely expensive. I made the mistake of using phone while waiting for online delivery. Of course, I dropped the phone (awkward without case) on hardwood floor. Big chip out of corner, major crack across screen. NEVER have I had this happen with any other phone, so, BEWARE!!!!
This is not an improved version of anything, it just a new model. The phone lacks so much stuff that it would take most of the day to just tell you don't bother. If you want android phone there is a lot better choices.
Samsung should at least allow us to use Samsung high speed SD cards as internal memory. Other than that complaint this phone is really great. iPhone restrictions are beyond frustrating. iOS not so good when compared to Android for savvy users.
