Galaxy S-8 Is Unstoppable!

Where do I start.... I have been a proud owner of every Samung S series since the S-5. The S-8 is by far my favorite phone on the market. I have held this opinion even before a crazy experience just this last weekend. While camping in Northern California, I spent the day fishing Hat Creek. The water level was extremely high 20 feet at its deepest point and was moving incredibly fast. While searching for the ultimate fishing spot I came across a log that fell across the entire creek, about 30-35 feet. I walked out to the center of the log and set up camp for the evening. I pulled out my S-8, with a simple otter box case, put on some Zac Brown Band and set it on my lap. I continued to let me line drift down the creek and then reel it in. About 10 minutes Iater I hooked up and forgot about my phone for a splint second.... Next thing I know I hear a "blurp" and watched as it got caught in the current and drifted out of sight.... At this point I was going to at least land the nice brown trout I had on the end of the line. After landing and releasing my catch I marched 20 minutes back to camp to gather a flashlight and some help from a friend. We then proceeded to drive back to this part of the creek and search for the phone. We spent 1 hour just searching the shoreline, and shallows only to come up empty handed. We then proceeded to drive into town where we could get internet service to use the find my Samsung feature...no luck. At this point I had made my peace with losing my phone and began the 40 min drive out of town and back to the campsite. As we were driving by the site where I had lost the phone I decided to give it one last shot. At this point the phone had been under water for at least 4 hours in 45 degree water. It was pitch black outside so I came up with the idea to call my phone to see if I could see a glow because the water was incredibly clear. As my friend wondered around trying to find service I stood in the middle of the creek waiting for a glow. Next thing I hear is, "Its ringing!." I look down and lone and behold there is a faint glow about 10 feet from where I am standing (blink......blink.....blink....) I couldn't believe it! I got enough courage to wade into the freezing and fast moving water. Armed with my flashlight I could see the top of the phone about 6 or so feet down. I went in to my shoulders and dove in after the phone. When I brought it back up to the surface, Zac Brown was still playing! Nothing skipped a beat! From hear on out I will always be a Samsung supporter, more than ever!! Please do not stop making the S series water resistant!! Keep up the great work!!

I have bought Samsung products since 2006 when I got my first plasma TV. From appliances to electronics, in my home it's Samsung. I've bought every galaxy since the S3. I haven't upgraded to the S9+ and don't feel like it's worth it. They throw all these specification upgrades at you like it's gonna be a so much better than the 8. Well, unless you're particular about a camera upgrade, they are virtually, in my opinion, the same. This phone in my opinion, will get me through a few years without upgrading. Anyway, the screen is perfect size with the edges. I felt the S7 was a bit too small. The colors and the edges make the phone seem 3 dimensional. It has a lot of unique features and some upgrades to security. I've setup fingerprint, facial recognition, and my favorite the iris feature. It scans your eyes to unlock the phone. I have an Otterbox that's like gel, kind of flexible type. And my screen cover has saved me tons of drops with the screen hitting first. Thanks to my crystal clear, heavy duty but lightweight, ZAGG cover.

I've had this phone barely a month. It has been in a case since day 1. It took a 2 foot accidental fall of the couch the other day and the screen cracked. This is the most fragile phone that I have EVER owned. I wish I had never bought it and will make sure to let everyone I know not to get one. I will switch over to an iPhone as soon as I have a chance. So completely disappointed to spend this kind of money on a phone that can't handle even a slight drop IN A CASE!!!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This such a awesome phone once again that they have design I have been a loyal customer of there for many years, and have own all of there galaxy collection and phone, and each one has always meet my expectation in performance and everything and I truly must say they out did there self with this particular phone the sound of the speaker are nice and loud, the camera is just awesome also just really love this phone all around the price was very good for me also because of the trade in of my Samsung Galaxy S7Edge and love the unlock version.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Inexpensive, Lightweight, Built-in speakers

BULL Warranty for an $850 phone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Using mine for about a month and people cannot hear me unless I'm on speaker phone or Bluetooth. I had T-mobile look at it and they said to just claim the warranty. Also, the headphones I received with the phone, one of the ear buds stopped working after a couple of weeks of use. When the warranty phone arrives, its REFURBISHED! So in the end, I'm going to be paying $850 bucks for a USED AND REFURBISHED phone. With NO replacement headphones! It's a joke. The fact that they used glass on the front and back of the phones is ridiculous since all previous models weren't done this way, it's as if after the Note 7 recalls, their hoping to make up lost income with this glass phone too.
Pros: Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

To fragile

This phone is cute, but it is fragile I got the phone,it fell on CARPET AND THE SCREEN CRACKED, this never happened before and I have been buying Samsung phone all my life, I don't recommend this phone, cause it is 2 much money, and it should be sturdy enough 2 drop on CARPET AND NOT BREAK, ridiculous. Just horrible.
