This is my 3rd Samsung phone and I have been impressed every time. Everything on this phone just works flawlessly. No jitters or hiccups. The camera is awesome, super fast processor and the screen is beautiful. I upgraded this phone so I could try out the Dex interface, as the only way I can work from home is with corporate apps that are on my phone. Being able to use Dex makes it so much easier to utilize those apps.
I loved my Note 5, but never really used the S-pen, so the S8 Plus, gave me the big screen I wanted without having to upgrade to the Note 8.
I really don't get "Bixby". All the voice commands stuff already exists within the Android OS, so why Bixby? It probably works great, but I just have a need for it.

Bixby Gets in The Way

The new S8 is a nice phone but the location of the on screen home button and Bixby is driving me crazy. Since the S8 have no physical home button, I find myself hitting the home button instead of the internet home button which takes me to the desktop. I figured I would get used to this after several weeks, but I still keep making the same mistake.
Bixby is all over the phone and it's killing the features. You cannot take a picture or look at a photograph without being bothered by Bixby. If you hit the side button by accident or swipe left Bixby shows up again. It seems that Bixby shows up for any and everything you do on the phone. Bixby became so aggravating, I had to download Package Disabler Pro just to stop Bixby from showing up. Even after disabling all of the Bixby packages, I still see it when taking a photo or looking at photos. If you don't plan on using Bixby, it seems that it will haunt you as long as you own this phone.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, samsung is forcing bixby
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

alright i dont know where to start but first of all, i was an iphone fan, and when samsung release the s8 it got me thinking to buy one. When i have it, i was so amazed by the design ( i dont like where they put the finger print) the quality of the phone and the features is so amazing. It feels like i dont wanna go back to being an iphone fan boy. SAMSUNG rock!!

Cons: too fragile

I have owned this phone for almost a year and have not had any issues with it. The phone has always worked flawlessly. However I was very impressed the other day when I dropped my phone in a river after about 10minutes of scooping around with a fishing net I retrieved it along with a bunch of mud from the bottom I simply rinsed it off in the sink and it works just as good as it ever did I just can not express how impressed I am that my phone was unharmed. I am not one for writing reviews but my mind was just blown that it still works.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Lightweight, Built-in speakers

I have had the S8+ for a few months now and so far I love it. It is packed with features and has the performance to do said features without any lag at all. The new camera is awesome for low light compared to all other brands that I have messed with. The screen is brighter than average also. The screen does wrap around both edges and it makes me a little uneasy on if it is going to break but so far so good. I haven't had any hard drops but I do keep it in a case so I'm hoping that is enough. Also has awesome battery life compared to previous versions of Samsung Galaxy flagship line of phones. Don't get me wrong it is not the kind of battery life that you can have the screen on all day playing games ( the technology just doesn't exist yet) but it certainly will last you the day and has 2 amazing power saving modes just in case you do run down your battery so you can make it to a charger and still be able to use your phone.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, Built-in speakers, samsung pay mst technology
Cons: high possibility of breaking, very slippery if you don't have a case on it

This phone is amazing. The camera is great and so is the display. I rarely take my DSLR, and use my S8+ to take all my pictures and videos.
