My phone started out great but has been nothing but a series of problems since. I've dealt with hardware failures like cell signal going out and never coming back, grey spots appearing on the screen and never going away, and the speaker crapping out randomly during calls on speakerphone.
So not only has quality control been bad on this device, but the interface on the website and in emails for when you send your phone in for repairs is a complete and total mess. It's almost like nobody in the company bothered to send in a phone for repairs and test their systems.
Besides these issues, performance has gotten much worse in less than a year along with battery life. Classic Samsung. Not sure why I still bother. Just buy a Pixel or an iPhone.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality, poor quality control
Still love this phone even though loving it could have been fatal had I not turned in my sleep and my arm got burned and woke up it was my S8+ whit screen flashing that it was over heating and advising to turn it off. Yes it was so hot that it couldn't be touched. Not even ti turn it off. I grabbed my T-shirt picked up the phone and ran to the bathroom and thru it on the counter until it cooled. I didn't realized that it had scorched the bedspread a day later. Sometimes there is a lemon in the bunch. Samsung has it now, checking it out. For now my best advice is to monitor charging. This is a great phone. If I had to replace it I would get another one. OR the note.
I absolutely love my S8+. I knew as soon as it was on sale, I had to have it. This phone has not disappointed in the slightest. The large screen and small bezel, make this one heck of a sexy phone. Speed is 9/10 and it's been pretty durable. I love that the phone tells you if the charging port has moisture in it. That's a neat little feature that saves you a headache in the future.
This is the best cell phone that I have ever owned. I have had it for a month now but feel comfortable with it. Although it was rather costly, I am glad I bought this phone!
I love this phone but be careful the screen is very fragile on the sides

I had a 5note then I upgraded because the 8+ says it's DISPLAY Type Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors - Size 5.8 inches, 84.8 cm2 (~83.6% screen-to-body ratio)- Resolution 1440 x 2960 pixels, 18.5:9 ratio (~570 ppi density) -Multitouch Yes Protection -Corning Gorilla Glass 5- HDR10 compliant- 3D Touch (home button only)- Always-on display. Water and dust resistant. Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5 on both the front and back for durability and a high-quality finish. Here's my only problem with this phone the Gorilla glass on the s8+ is not durable if anything it is as fragile on the curved edges as the glass on the first touch screen phones. I must have dropped my S5 Note 1000 times (it did not have gorilla glass) and it never cracked I even dropped it down 6 concrete steps face down on the sidewalk and didn't crack. I got the S8+ hadn't a few weeks played it on the arm of my recliner and it fell off and landed face down on the vinyl flooring went I looked at it Cracked all up the left edge. Gorilla glass my foot durable NOT. So get a screen protector and don't drop it. But it is nice the display quality is awesome and if you drop it in water it won't damage it.
wow Samsung, I was putting on a phone case and somehow ended up in a debugging menu and bang factory reset my phone. why in gods name was it made possible to do this by a few keystrokes on the buttons on the side of your phone? now i get to deal with googles new FRP bull
