A Lot Of Promise, But No Follow Through

My biggest complaint with the phone is the camera. As a paranormal investigator, I need a solid low-light camera. Unfortunately, this phone does not provide that. All low/no light photos have been very grainy and line-filled. I went from an ASUS ZenFone 3 to this S8+ only because my ZF3 was dropped and broken. Before that I had an iPhone 6S+, and the 6s+ took MUCH better low-light photos than this Samsung. Another nuance is playing Words with Friends and other games. Sometimes when you need to make a move of any sort near the Edge screen, it does not register and you have to touch the screen several times for it to work. Also, it does not come with a built-in voice recorder app.
The battery is very good, I typically get approximately 24 hours on a full charge. There is an occasional software slowdown. The display is very good, and there is not much lag when switching between apps. Call quality is usually very good even with low service.
All in all, if you don't need a low-light camera, then this is a good phone for you. Well all have different needs in a phone, and unfortunately, this one doesn't cut it for me when I need it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Incredible. Battery life is excellent. Screen is beautiful. Be prepared to purchase case and insurance bc the screen seems to randomly break sometimes but its my only issue.

Great Choice

I previously came from an iPhone 7s, and I am so glad I switched. I have more personalization, more functionality, the awesome infinity display- even down to the in-ear headphones that come with the phone that are amazing quality. Super happy with my S8+!

Cracks EASILY!

Although I read some reviews whereas the phone cracks if dropped evenly softly, I still purchased the phone less than a week ago. Today, while walking my dog, the phone dropped about 1 foot and the back is cracked! If you buy this phone buy a very strong cover!! Not as user friendly as my Samsung 7, but better than the IPhone 8.
