Screen is HORRIBLE

had this phone for two weeks, was painting a room, left the phone on a bed. finished painting and looked at the phone to check the phone, and theres two hairline cracks right over the camera and now the screen is messing up Ghost pulling down the menu. SAMSUNG SHOULD FIX THIS. DO NOT BUY. TAKE YOUR MONEY TO A FRUIT PHONE

Only kept it one week, traded for IPhone

This is not an improved version of anything, it just a new model. The phone lacks so much stuff that it would take most of the day to just tell you don't bother. If you want android phone there is a lot better choices.

A beast within beauty

The phone per se is a beast within a beautifully, elegant and vivid crystal clear display with an almost flawless design, then there's the fingerprint scanner, a reminder of the flaw of the design.
But marketing wise, Samsung made a mess for raising the hype and expectations for the free fully immersive VR gear, they didn't declare that the stock is limited to 50,000 which I believe is for the whole of the US. For real. So that's why I'm giving it a 3-star only.

Big mistake

Had more galaxy phones then iPhones. Most precious IPhone which was the 7plus has better battery life then any galaxy I've ever owned including this one. Phone is super delayed from taking pictures, using Snapchat, background loading on the phone, internet browsing (with fully loaded wifi). The battery life on this phone is by far atrocious. Losing 15% in a hour from just text messaging (with wifi) is beyond my imagination. Immediately getting rid of this trash phone and going right back to iphone. I've never been more disappointed in a phone in my life since they started coming out with smartphones ever. Don't waste money on this garbage go iphone or no phone.

S8+ deficiencies

I am not sure why Samsung decide to create the sliding tray for the SD/SIM card the needs a key to access. I think they should have stuck with the open back for easier access and to remove the battery.
I don't like that the headphone jack is at the bottom of the phone and that you have to use an adapter to charge the phone if your using a micro usb cord.
I think the engineering of the phone is okay but I wider screen would have been nice and maybe even adding a stylus like the note series curve screen doesn't not work with a screen protector I was not happy about that.
Overall the phone is nice and has a lot a great features, however on the next make I'd wish to see headphone jack at the top of the phone, rear panel access, wider screen and possibly a stylus.
I would recommend this to a friend!

If you go out, bring your charger. Battery drains fast. And NO, it's not always on.
