I've owned all the Note series except the 7.
My wife has owned all the S series phones.

We will not buy another brand of phone!!!!!!

Love this phone !! It is so fun and customizable!! I switched over from iPhone and am glad I did! I missed all the fun options on the androids!

I thought the screen might be a problem but it works out and is a nice addition to the phone. I dont think the finger print location is great. Just make sure you register your finger as you would hold the phone, not straight on for convenience.

A lot of reviewers have praised the new high resolution screen, screen size, small bezels, minimal increase in phone size, Samsung touchwiz, and battery life. It's all true. I've been thoroughly impressed with the phone. It is the best phone I have ever used to date.
Many have complained about the fingerprint scanner being on the back and next to the camera. I actually prefer this now to the old thumb location on the front. The location of the scanner on the back to the side of the camera, is actually ergonomically designed. My hands are not enormous, but when holding the phone in my hand, my index finger will comfortably and naturally go the fingerprint scanner. That's designing with the user in mind.
I'm excitedly awaiting Bixby. There's very little functionality right now, but I know Samsung will get this to us very soon.
I was hoping the 8+ would come with an upgraded dual camera on the back, but the software improvements have made the camera one of the best I've ever used.
Oh, and if you're not using Samsung pay, I strongly advise that you start to. It is the best rewards system I have ever been involved in, and it actually works!
This is a great addition to the growing Samsung ecosystem of products. Keep up the great designs, Samsung!

Awesome design with nice features

Galaxy s8+ is arguably the best looking phone out currently. And feels great in my hands. The screen is out of this world and I have a hard time taking my eyes off of it. This is my first Samsung android phone. I've always had iPhones but with release of the s8 I just had to give it a try. So far I am not regretting that decision one bit. I was afraid the switch would be painful especially with my entire family on iPhones but the switch was actually very smooth. So far loving the design, screen, camera, performance... don't really have any major gripes. One minor thing is the face recognition does not work reliably, more often than not it does not recognize me. I have tried to recapture my face multiple times in different light settings but it still does not work 100%. But does not bother me much as I'm mostly using the fingerprint and smart lock(great feature!).
Pros: Bright display, design, features, camera
Cons: face recognition, unfinished bixby

Officially Team Samsung for life! Samsung really nailed the Galaxy S8 plus. I love everything about the S8. Out of the last three years with Apple, I now proudly join Team Samsung. Can you feel my excitement?
