I'm so unhappy with my S8+ (955U1). Apparently, warranty only covers in US. So I'm not in US anymore, I have a bootlooping bricked-8.0 phone. Thanks Samsung!
I bought this about a month ago and im kicking myself for it. I bought a case that does nothing but protect the back. This morning it fell like 4 inches and cracked. WORSE PHONE I EVER PURCHASED.
I have bought Samsung products since 2006 when I got my first plasma TV. From appliances to electronics, in my home it's Samsung. I've bought every galaxy since the S3. I haven't upgraded to the S9+ and don't feel like it's worth it. They throw all these specification upgrades at you like it's gonna be a so much better than the 8. Well, unless you're particular about a camera upgrade, they are virtually, in my opinion, the same. This phone in my opinion, will get me through a few years without upgrading. Anyway, the screen is perfect size with the edges. I felt the S7 was a bit too small. The colors and the edges make the phone seem 3 dimensional. It has a lot of unique features and some upgrades to security. I've setup fingerprint, facial recognition, and my favorite the iris feature. It scans your eyes to unlock the phone. I have an Otterbox that's like gel, kind of flexible type. And my screen cover has saved me tons of drops with the screen hitting first. Thanks to my crystal clear, heavy duty but lightweight, ZAGG cover.
Bought s8 plus 9 months ago, 4 months ago pixels started flickering everywhere, and 5 months ago start seeing screen burns in multiple areas of the phone. I took advance precautions and use my phone less, lowered screen quality, lowest brightness possible with no positive effect it got alot worse. I didn't drop my phone until about a week ago, the pixels actually got better after that. The back glass barely cracked. Best phone i ever had besides screen burns everywhere and bixby button and durability is a 1 out of 20. Oh and the pixels go away in YouTube landscape.
I had the Note 4 prior to this phone so the upgrade was a huge step up. It took some time to get use to the phones dimensions. The phone is skinny and tall. At first I wasn't sure about it, but the performance took all reservations away. This phone is fast, its powerful, and reliable. The absolute best part about this phone is that it is completely waterproof. You can swim with it, take photos/videos underwater, talk and text in the rain. It's truly amazing and worry free. Looking forward to the newer models and have already heard great things about the S9 and Note 9.
Its a huge upgrade from the s7. The screen is huge and great for movies, the display is very accurate, and I love having the buttons on the front removed for a bigger screen
