Won’t stop throwing a code

This is the 2nd unit that quit working after a year. Throws code CH34 and putting an awning over didn’t help. The compressor shuts off during the hottest part of the day. Completely hot here in Texas.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my unit in late May of this year. It handled our hot, hot, Oklahoma summer weather. The design with the moving vanes is the best I have used. Now I am using the heat function. It works just as well as I had hoped.

Only had this until sense September and have used the heat more than the air. So far it works fine but it does cycle on and off often . Problems with the installation include no rear grill included and none was offered so I bought one from another mfg. Also the casing is open underneath which will allow birds to roost. There is not a good way to seal around the unit.
