nothing but problems

The heater function did not work from the day i installed it, now its been 1 yr 3 months , and now the a/c compressor will not shut off i have to unplug it .

I bought this unit in October 2020, moved into the house late November 2020, after 4 months it started making a rattling noise then June 2021 it stopped working. I always thought LG was a great product but I'm skeptical now. I would not recommend this unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit 3 months ago and already unit died. Called LG and have to say they were pretty good with getting service company out to troubleshoot problems and pre order parts the might need to be change ahead of time. And luckily the service company ordered the right part because the unit needed a new control board. New control board fixed the issue and unit is working again and good i might add. My concerns are the age of unit (3 months) and it needed a new control board. Service provider they sent was very professional and polite.

Compressor won't come on rarely used in 5 yrs someone at LG said it had 10 yr guarantee and I spent a day trying to find a tech to come and confirm it so I could get an auth. letter and a new one after wasting time and unable to find anyone near Sarasota someone else at LG said "no only one year guatantee"--LG has onone in Sarasota-Bradenton an area of 1 million people

Satisfaction with the LW2416HR

The last three (3) units we purchased were LGs. We have two units in our double wide . We have two LG ( LW2416HR)AC units. One was "umpteen" years old and we replaced it with another of the same model just a few weeks ago. The surviving unit ran pretty much full bore and got us through last summer and up to today. It also heated us through the winter by itself. We now have two units working great and freezing us out. I am sold on LG.

Poor heating function

Purchased in summer 2018 and AC works great however when I turned on the heat in the winter it did not even blow warm air. Requested service and repairman said that heater coils were working fine but he even admitted that it did not even blow warm air. Bought for my 1200 sq. ft. workshop that is well insulated but when you are standing in front of the unit while it is blowing it feels like cool air with no heat. Would not buy this unit for it's heating function as it is a waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
