MY HUSBAND PUT IN LIVING ROOM AND WE PUT TWO BOX FANS IN 2 DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS AND COOLED THE HOUSE. WAS WORTH IT TILL UNIT GOT REPAIRED.

Within a couple of days in 115 degree heat in the shade the unit would turn off. When called customer service was told to cool outer fins with water. Did not like that solution to problem. Took it back to store for refund. Unit can not take outside high temp and the safe guard to the unit shut it down for over heating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello and thank you for the feedback. The unit does have a built in self safely mode to cut off at a certain temperature. This is not only for the safely of the unit but for the consumers safety as well. ^AC
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really like the air conditioning part it's been to hot to try the heat so I'll review that part later. We keep it on cool high mostly as we don't like hearing it cut in and out every 3 minutes to so call check the temp... When the clean filter light comes on the only way we can get it to turn off is reset the air conditioner by the reset switch even after we clean the filter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought after my Samsung unit died. Wife wanted a ac with heat & I liked that idea so I wouldn't have to remove the ac every year. This LG has a larger BTU but more quiet than the Samsung. I also love the oscillation. So simply put - Get it you'll like it - nuff said.
