Nice unit but exterior side could be built better

This review is for model number LT1237HNR with optional grille AXRGALA01 and the optional sleeve.
Installation was quick. Good thing because the new unit and sleeve were not as high as the old one so the contractor had to fill in the gap with insulating foam then trim around the opening on the interior and exterior. This was expected.
Here is where I advise a little caution. The back (outside facing) of the unit is of flimsy construction. First, there is an included plastic diamond mesh that offers MINIMAL protection. If this unit is installed in a high traffic area or can be reached by people walking by, the back of the unit will be exposed. If you have a lot of birds and insects around your home, the back of the unit will be exposed. Also, if you value how the unit looks from the exterior, this may not be the unit for you.
This is why I bought the optional grille. The grille itself is flimsy with the louvers easily crushed as it is stamped from light gauge metal. But the worst part is the instructions say you have to remove the unit from the sleeve before Installing it. In my case, that’s going to be difficult, what with the trim and caulking around the unit. Plus, the louver arrived after my unit was installed. Wish I knew beforehand so I could have postponed installation! I am going to try attaching from the outside as the screw holes line up but it will look a little wonky. I just want to keep the birds and wasps out.
I would have loved to have the option have a more durable louver or better designed exterior face of the unit. I understand that engineering and economic principles are in play but still, I would have paid more if given the option. I’m giving this unit three stars. It could easily be four or five if it was built better.

Unit struggles to output 68 air when outside temp is 75. Unit is on North side of the house shaded by large tree. In hot weather Unit is unacceptable. Took repairman more than a week to arrive and claims unit is operating properly.

Bought it one month ago. Ran for 1 minute before fan failed. First repair visit unable to fix. Next visit from a different tech should happen soon? Approaching 4 weeks with a failed unit.
