Inspire 1 drone pilot.

Have been using the product for over a month for flying my DJI INSPIRE 1 drone. It took me about 1/2 hr to get use to focus between the head up display(HUD) of all the control and the line of sight of the drone. Once my visual and my brain adapted to the smart glass it was then I enjoy the reason I purchase the Moverio BT-300FPV.
This unit is not only lightweight and compact but is also useful as a cinematic for watching movies and surfing the web. I am still trying out it usage for drone racing and it looks way cooler than the bulky ones out in the market. Best investment I made.

Great product after some setup

Configuring the Epson BT-300 with the DJI GO app took a little bit of time for me. Not as easy as setting up GO on a tablet.

Once configured the glasses are easy to use, provide a good pilot experience, and make for simple photography.

Pros
1. Good field of view
2. New piloting experience
3. Lightweight and comfortable

Cons
1. Needs native HDMI port
2. Sore neck from constantly watching sky and no longer looking at controller

3 Stars for the 3rd Pair in 2 Months!

On my first pair, the charging port to the main board was loose and was Done.
Second Pair I got to use for another 12 hours or so before, I believe, it got too warm i feel,. I simply shut the screen off for an hour or so and when I came back it was Done.
The third pair made it through the first day so far, and I did notice that only after Thirty Minutes of use, it gets pretty Warm. I guess is normal, as is rendering the loads out of video and such, but I notice there is not cooling mechanism, I hope when they get the bugs worked out they will exchange these faulty first production models!
I still love the thing to death, but we should be warned of this, and makes me scared to be out there flying my drone and the thing go dead on me after an hour from overheat, may put ice pack under it! No, REALLY

Love the lens. Very clear. Very light unit also. The controller is not the greatest however. Very touchy. The menus need some work. Wifi is very bad. Does not work consistently. SW bug there. Also why can't I download Google services ?

Promising future

we got it a month ago and we already have a prototype app for Oil & Gas up and running. The Unity SDK is strong enough for real world apps. As usual it has some of the Android related issues when used outside the smartphone/table world but nothing that couldn't be overcomed with some custom code.
Some features that may need work: battery charging time ( 5hours for full charge???), brain (side unit) gets really hot, no speakers built in the glass ( must use earphones). Other than that, the Moverio 300 is one of the more solid smart glasses platforms for AR apps today.

Nightmare to start but great once working !!

Arrived today and really looking forward to using them with my DJI drone. Unfortunatley getting wifi connected, then logging into the Moverio system is an absolute nightmare using the touchpad. It is so sensitive and difficult to use it took me 2 hours nearly just to login and find the DJI app. Then it got dark so no flying today.
Once the app was downloaded I was very pleased by the clarity and functionality and am looking forward to tomorrow for the first flight.
As a commercial operator this should be very beneficial when flying and keeping within the regulations.
You need to be very patient when you open the box !!
Otherwise - GREAT

SO FAR, I'M IMPRESSED . . . !

I purchased the MOVERIO BT-300 FPV Drone Edition smart glasses to "fly" my new MAVIC AIR drone with.
I am still setting everything up and haven't actually flown,
yet, but I am IMPRESSED with TECHNOLOGY, VERSATILTY and QUALITY of the BT-300s.
I am ANXIOUS to get my first "drone's eye" view
while flying my MAVIC AIR and wearing my BT-300s !
So far, it has been EASY for me to view BOTH the
real world scenes AND virtual data projected before
my eyes simultaneously.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good Product

After using the Moverio BT200 for 3 years I updated.
pros :
great screen
good fit
works good with Bluetooth keyboard
works with my Phantom 2 AND 3.
cons :
sliding from the touchpad into the buttons makes for hectic browsing and navigating when the drone is in the air.... (a rubber band at the border between buttons and touchpad helps me a lot )
Still no Google certification, how hard can it be ?
Android 5.1
how come you have a product so advanced with an old version of Android and no Google integration ?
Hoping for amazing system update.
