Broke down in 4 months

We bought this side by side in early October 2014. We liked and enjoyed all the features until it broke down in January 2015. No refrigeration, no freezing!!. Everything spoiled! Repair man said that the refrigerant was leaking. Needed to go back to the shop, will take a week to get it back. Meanwhile they were kind enough to give us a loaner. Kudos to the independent appliance dealer, but no kudos to the manufacturer. Should not happen in 4 months!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Less noisy than my old frig.

This is my first side by side refrigerator and I really am please with it. The 3 drawers in the frig side are great with plenty of shelf and door space. I like the brushed steel handles as opposed to plain white ones. Spiffs it right up!A couple of things that would make my rating excellent. The plastic edging around the frig shelves take are a bit inconvenient. There's lost space as items can't be set next to the side becasue the edging makes things set uneven. Just glass shelves with protective trim on the front would be much better. The shelves in the freezer are very flimsy and bow in the middle. The wires where the food sits needs to be bigger diameter/stronger. Similiar to the front and back rods that fit side to side into the frig. If would be nice to be able to adjust the freezer door shelves, and add one or two more.

Great looking side by side

Black Ice looks perfect in our kitchen. The stainless steel handles are awesome. Like the idea of not bending over to dig through a bottom mount freezer. Freezer size is perfect for us and I can see where everything is. Fridge side hold everything we need.

3 weeks old and I'm very happy with the purchase. Easy access to both freeze and cooling compartment items. Stainless steel cleans with little effort. Looks sharp!

We wanted a side by side that fit in 33" width. This refrigerator replaces 20 year old Magic Chef. It runs quieter than old unit and has nice LED lighting in both compartments. This refrigerator has plastic shelves vs Magic Chef's glass ones. I like glass, but these shelves are lighter and therefore easy to clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like not having a water dispenser or icemaker. The water here tastes terrible so I prefer to buy bottled and make ice in an ice tray. The one thing that I don't like is that the bottom shelf in the freezer does not extend all the way to the back so things fall down off the shelf in the back - this is a really silly design.

Don't buy this refrigerator

I hate this refrigerator. Shelves do not extended to the back wall of frig. I have lost several plates of food down the back of shelf. They end up as a heap behind the vegetable crisper! Big mess!
