I choose this Frigidaire over keeping all appliances in the GE family and passing on a rebate because the quality appeared to be much better. I got the fridge now that we moved into the house and am quite pleased. The doors do not exactly match so that is why it is only 4 stars.

Bad News

We are SO frustrated with this appliance! First one died in one month. Second one arrived and ice maker does not work. Scheduled a repairman visit which is taking over three weeks to arrive. Now every time the power goes out the frog turns off, does not stay on with our generator, and needs manually restarted! This is our weekend home! On the coast which has WIND. No one else’s frig in our neighborhood does this! Useless appliance!!!!

Improvement over last fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Two weeks in.... the size of the fridge is great. The ability to move the shelves and adjust height is greatly appreciated.
The compressor is loud, thought something was wrong until i read instructions stating the noise is normal.
Cleaning us spills is a pain. Me defrosting ran down the side, inti the light cap and to the bottom of the fridge. Could not get it all cleaned up. Trapped in the seams.

Sleek design, Super spacious!

Good, but not excellant

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sound like someone is continually dropping pebbles onto sheet metal when it runs. This is quite annoying. I like the idea of it having 2.6 more cubic foot capacity than the others. I would have bought a competitors if it were available.

Extremely spacious and sleek design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this fridge about a month ago now. What an upgrade from the standard fridge. So much customizable space in both the fridge and freezer. Keeps things as cold as you set it to and very helpful having the controls easily accessible. Have had some problems with the French doors closing all the way. Seems like closing one sometimes opens the other door due to the vacuum it creates but with the temperature alarm it helps notice it isn't shut all the way. Freezer door does not seem to have any problems sealing yet. Overall great purchase so far.

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was quite excited with this choice and thought I had done solid research but I’m disappointed. My last fridge of another brand had the handle break and the door features became messy. For those reasons I wanted a fixed handle and no ice/water in the door. I also wanted wide food shelves for milk and egg cartons. Those things were a win with this fridge. However, the ice tray is driving me crazy. It fills up fast but every time I open it, 6+ cubes drop behind the freezer drawer and roll all over the floor. I have to reach in daily to manually lift the bar to stop/start ice production and it’s getting old cleaning up the mess each time. I also can’t keep the outside clean. Even the smallest brush of a finger leaves prints and it’s not pretty. Many other brands are print resistant and I’d trade other features to not be wiping the doors every few minutes. in addition, the freezer drawer is heavy and takes a good shove to close. I even checked that it was not tilted forward. Other ones I have had glided closed much easier. Its quite the annoyance. Lastly, we cannot get the all the plastic off the edges. its minor but makes a difference.
