Gets the job done

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it a month ago for a apartment twice the coverage area it's listed for. My apartment came with a 5000 BTU good for 350 square feet. Running that all day everyday did nothing unless I sat directly in front of it. The Frigidaire was easy to install and so far it has performed really well and better than expected. The timer is a great feature so I can set it to turn on 30 minutes before I expect to be home. I usually run it after work until I go to work and my bill has only been about $40 more than normal. It keeps my apartment cold the way I like and prefer to sleep in.

Not Cold enough

Got this just to cool a small bedroom and for 12000 btu it is awful my 5000 btu window ac was alot colder this bearly cools my room past 70 while my small window ac could get my room to 64 in a half hr
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better than the competition

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have other portable ac units and they don't compare to the features and functions of this unit. This unit cools faster and more area than those with the same btu rating. The unit is heavy and heavy duty. Expect this to last for years.

Works very well

This unit does a much better job in spite of the room being south facing and over 50% windows.
