Refrigerator has great design!

One problem in summer - I thought refrigeratorwas not cold enough and technician said with new technology the refrigerator will self adjust. I made refrigerator colder by one notch and because it is across from the stoveI made sure not to use the oven in those very hot days. Other than that - a great refrigerator. Thanks for asking.

Very quiet,really really amazingly quiet!;very different from the GE I had are the lights- have had to get used to the lights that turn on once you open the door but now I like watching them unfold-like a sunrise! and the cool blue hue but once on they are very bright without the harshness, sadly, did not get the ice maker installed but may add this add at later time once a water line is added ! Old fashioned ice cube trays are still holding their own ! .

Fit and finish

This fridge has been made for years and is dependable. It was the only one w/o the water and ice in the door and fit in the existing space. The 1994 version still runs smoothly in the basement, and is better made.However the doors on this new one are not plumb and the tapering gap between them varies by 5/16" of an inch. It is depressing to see everyday as it shouts out the demise of American manufacturing, and that Whirlpool would allow this to continue. The technician was unable to correct it as it is made that way. The interior space is well laid out and is a pleasure to use. The dealer did their best to satisfy me but there is no recourse but to live with it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Big for small spaces.

We bought this refrigerator a few weeks ago to replace an outdated and leaky energy guzzler. After extensive online research I found this side-by-side with good consumer reports status and availability at a local appliance store. It had to fit a relatively small space. It is perfect for our needs. Good capacity and easy to see what on the shelves.
