Pretty Good but Noisy

We got this about a month ago to replace a 15-year old Kenmore that was working OK but was getting too noisy for us. Overall this fridge gets the job done, with a decent amount of space - we really like the lighting. The finish could be better (exposed hinges with tape on top) and the doors seem a bit flimsy at times as well. Also, it does still seem to some noises - we were hoping it would be nearly silent compared to the 15-year old one we just ditched. All the noises we do hear are classified as "normal" in manual, however we are slightly disappointed in this respect. Again, it gets the job done but could be better in these respects. We can't say one way or another whether we'd recommend it to a friend...

Suggestions to look at.

When I bought my refrigerator I had to put it in the space that was provided and did not want one that had ice maker in the door. This limited my choices. Although the outside is the same this ref. does not hold as much and I am not able to get the bottom door out. It does not slide in and out easily.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice simple sleek looking side by side refrigerator/freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only have had it for about 4 weeks but so far I love it. Humidity control section keeps veggies fresh longer so far, and lunchmeat drawer is a plus.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had relatively few options given the space available in our kitchen, so this worked nicely. Plenty of storage space for a small fridge. Only gripe is that it smudges easily, so we keep Weiman wipes close at hand. Wish it came with an ice maker, but it was easy enough to install one we purchased separately.

The old refrigerator and space it used made it impossible to fit in most new ones. The height was the limiting factor.Also my daughters had to convince their mom black was OK as she wanted beige like her old one. My wife loves the refrigerator section but not so much the freezer. This could be from being used to the old style. Possibly time will change her mind.

Runs quiet and keeps everything at the proper temperature. Love thecambered door hinges that insure the self closing of the doors, Great plus.
