Icemaker installation instructions a nightmare

If you purchase an ice maker for this refrigerator and attempt to install it yourself, be prepared for a major headache. The instructions are a mess and often just plain wrong. Be forewarned!

So Far, So Good

My wife and I purchased this refrigerator about a month ago and have been very pleased. We previously owned a GE above average grade refrigerator and were extremely disappointed with that brand. Our new refigerator is doing everything we expect a refigerator to do: keep things cold, doors open easily and stay closed, shelving and drawers operate adequately, referigerator runs quietly and not often (hoping it is efficient) and it looks great. Looking forward to many good years in the future.Respectfully,Rick Mertz

It's easy to organize the food inside, the inside light comes on, gradually, it's quiet and it looks beautiful in my kitchen!

I love the new refrigerator...the pre-set temps are right on the money. It's a perfect size for us. Not having an ice maker is also something we wanted.The only drawback is: when the refrigerator is running it's VERY loud.

Hard to fit space

The first refrigerator delivered was very noisy, service rep said it was normal, sent it back anyway and the second one was great. It was hard to find a side by side to fit our space so our choices were limited, our previous frig was a Whirlpool and it lasted us for 33 years, not bad! We did need an extra shelf for the refrigerator side other wise it's been ok so far.

33inch wide side-by-side refrigerator

The refrigerator is just what I wanted! Lots of capacity and bright inside. I have always had Whirlpool appliances in my home.One thing disappoints me. On the top of the refrigerator there are no door -hinge covers and grey tape covers a hole near the hinge. I would gladly have paid extra for the hinge-covers like I have on the Whirlpool refrigerator that I replaced.

Received my new frig over a month ago. 1st side by side ever...A little getting used too but so far very happy with my choice. Definitely did not want freezer on the bottom...Love the full length view on both sides.
