[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the LG washers a few weeks ago and I love using them. I don't have any problems with the machines unlike my old machines which I had bought new as well and they broke down the next day

Should Last Longer Than 3.5 years...

This Washer/Dryer combo was purchased for my tenant. It was used for 1 year by a single woman, 1 year by a family with 2 toddlers, 1 year by a woman who didn't use it at all, and now six months into the fourth year, a couple with a baby. The tenant who didn't use it at all said it didn't work well. The current tenants contacted me because it is not working at all -doesn't spin!
Is it a lemon ? I don't think so; I think it's pretty average. I bought the large capacity washer and large capacity dryer - both LG and both top of the line - less than five years ago and both are not working. The dryer hasn't dried well for about two years (but I can't afford to replace it) and now the washer sounds like it's taking off into space during the spin cycle.

Terrible!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From the day I bought this machine I have been disappointed and should have returned it but I thought it was just a learning curve on my part. Not true. It shakes the entire house when it is spinning. So much so that once it shook the water lines off and flooded my laundry room. It doesn't do a very good job of drying anything! I have drying racks in my laundry room. We've had it repaired shortly after purchasing for a wire ring issue. Hoping to get some type of repair to alleviate the terrible vibration issue. The only plus is it looks nice and if you have a small space, as I do, it fits.

Small but powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We named our washer/dryer combo "Wally" which is pretty indicative that we like him a lot, except for the cat. There's plenty of cycle choices and we love how soft the laundry comes out, even without softener. The drying cycle and cool down do take a bit longer than we like, but that's minor. However, it would be nice to have an approximate time cool down will take (so we can inform the cat).
We also hooked him up so he could drain into a laundry tub with a hair catcher instead of directly into a drain. This has worked extremely well as we can avoid having a lot of gunk plugging the pipes and instead clean out the hair catcher into the trash can. I am amazed how much he pulls off out laundry and spits out into the tub - although I imagine a lot of it is cat hair which is why the cat doesn't like him.
Pros: Features/Settings, Quality, easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very satisfied with over all performance except it does what you call water knocking. It is so loud that you can hear it upstairs and my husband say's to return it. Have contacted the appliance store where I purchased it and they said it is not the machines fault. Apparently I have to purchase a water knocking regulator and have a plumber install it. Now why should I have to go to that expense when I have never had the problem with any other machine. I had a previous lg combo for sixteen years with no problem.

Amazing value for the size

It fits perfectly in my unit. I got it in stainless steel and it is so compact and does a full load of laundry so quickly. So economical and my monthly bills have gone down.
