Love hate relationship

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay, I am on year 2 of owning this machine, and am on repair #3. Two of the repairs are for the same issue, the drain pump. I am beyond grateful I purchased the extended warranty, but as anyone who has “been there, done that”, I have no washing machine for a week while awaiting service. Now I will say we are household of 4, and we exercise and own a small gym which requires washing our regular clothes plus Gis for jiu jitsu, daily. So this machine is used daily, often two or more loads a day. So that being said it has a lot of use. I love the all in one feature and appreciate the ventless system, much cleaner than other systems. I regularly wipe down the inside and clean the lower lint trap every 1-2 weeks. Overall this machine Would be scoring a 5, if it was more reliable.

Terrible brand

This washer dryer combo is terrible it won’t dry my towel I put it in on three long cycles. It waste so much electricity and when you put a blanket in the washer the whole washer moves and makes an ungodly sound. This is so cheap I can’t believe a company would sell something this poorly made. LG has the worst washer dryer combo I ever used.

I’ve had the washer and dryer for a while because I can’t afford to go and get another as this one I bought was expensive . I literally have to wash the same clothes two of three times because they get this gunk all over them.! no matter how many times I clean inside the washer Wipe it down It still gets gunk all over my laundry its annoying I’m furious. Do not buy this washer.!
In all my years I’ve never had an issues with a washer till now .save your money and buy something else .

Very Poor Quality!

I love the features of this machine but it is very poor quality. We have had to have it repaired 6 times in less than 2 years. The warranty will only cover for 1 year. Now that the warranty is up we have had to pay for repairs almost every three months. I could have purchased a new unit for as much as this one has cost in repairs.
Each cycle takes between 4-6 hours to complete and this is when we only have a half load. The clothes always come out damp and very wrinkled.
Now... that being said... I do like that I can put a load of clothes in the washer and when I wake up in the morning they are clean. This is very convenient.
The machine does not have a lint trap but we wipe out the inside seal each time we use it and haven't had a problem with it getting clogged.

Completely Broke Down within 18 Months

Hey LG, my washer/dryer all in one combo that is only 18 months old won't run and the warranty is up. What a dud!!! We own 4 other LG washers and dryers that are 7 years old and have had no problems. What is up with the washer/dryer combo breaking down after only 18 months???

Excellent Machine
on November 10, 2014

I purchased this for my condo in Palm Beach FL. They allow washer and dryers in each individual unit but the condo units were not set up for outdoor dryer venting. The few people who do not have this combo unit, exhaust the dryer right into their apartment. In FL, really? Not good with all the humidity FL already has. I did research and found this unit. It is excellent! I have a large storage room that backs up to the kitchen so water and drainage was right there. I am only a part time resident so after 1 year, have just found the right settings. Really all you need is the "quick wash". Depending on what I wash, I set the dry time to 30 minutes and find that taking the cloths out when slightly damp removes the wrinkles, I hang the cloths right up and all is fine. They feel damp at first but they are so hot the dampness goes right away. It also uses such a small amount of detergent and only a teaspoon of fabric softener. I thought cleaning the lint trap was going to be a chore, however, it is very easy. I have cleaned it 2x in the past year and have found very little lint in the trap. I use a pie pan and pull the tube down and let it empty right into the pan. Couldn't be any easier! An excellent unit!
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Not as great

This would be better if you could do a full load but can not in order to try to get your clothes dry. It would be good if it was easier to open. I can not open the door at all. I have to do laundry when my son is home because I can not get the door to open.

The most confusing washer dryer I’ve ever used
on October 16, 2022

If you dry your clothes, and they aren’t completely dry and you start a dry load again it automatically washes them. The clothes stink after they’ve been dried. A “normal” dry load time is like 3 hours. So be ready to spend an entire day and getting only one load done. Another issue is that there is no lint trap so you have to clean the rubber lining after every load and it’s not easy to clean because you have to get in the crevices and it’s rubber. The WORST washer and dryer I’ve ever had to use. Oh, and good luck getting a manual that makes any sense. The manual is all over the place. I just want to know how to wash, and how to dry. It frustrates me so bad.
