Quiet and dependable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This replaced an older model that had served well. It fits well in the sink and takes up less space under the sink. It handles all disposed items quickly and is relatively quiet. It lives up to GE's reputation for quality! I'm very happy with it.

It won't turn off

There is a flawed design with this unit. Had to take TWO back. Bought another brand. This one is TOO LOUD and wouldn't shut off. Average shut off time was about TWO MINUTES

Overpriced disposal

I bought the first one in October. The switch would stick and the disposal would remain on. I was told no new switch was available and I needed to replace it. Took 2 months to get the replacement. This switch also sticks, but eventually goes off after 5 to 10 seconds. Seems like a defect in the product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not a good product

I bought this garbage disposal a couple of months ago and am very disappointed with the product. The blades take a long time to actually grind up the food. We only put vegetables, no fat or bones, down the disposer. It makes a terrible noise similar to an outboard motor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
