Unexpected lack of quality from GE. I compost so I rarely use the disposal, yet within 15 months, it seized up and stopped working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had this installed brand new by contractor remodeling our house. I assume it is working okay because I haven't had any clogs or smells, but it is hard to get food through the rubber gasket and doesn't have much power.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My second (I liked the first that just plugged in better; it lasted 7 years, but three weeks left unused let its blades rust in place). Effective, quiet, works well.
