I bought this dishwasher less than 6 months ago and it has been the best dish washer purchase I ever made! Love it ! I highly recommend this product as it is quiet, simple to use, cleans great and is very similar to the European style. You will not be disappointed .... I promise

Small and Noisy

This is my second GLDT690DWW in the past 5 years. My first one failed miserably due to failure to heat/dry properly, constantly weak gaskets needing to be replaced and re-positioned. I have little choice as my space under the counter top is limited to a dishwasher of GLDT690DWW's dimensions. The interior cabin is small and the quality of the racks has diminished since the first model I purchased in 2011. I am hoping I get more life out of this second purchase than the first. PS: the gaskets on the second model are already shifting and need to be adjusted periodically. This machine has design flaws and GE needs to get it right.. there are tens of thousands of homes which have limitations on the exterior cabinet size of a dishwasher that could fit under a counter. I really hope GE improves this model .

Super clean dishes

We have had this dishwasher for about three months. It is quiet, easy to use and cleans the dishes well. Large pans and bowls do not seem to fit well. The top rack does not come out the entire way making it difficult to load toward the back.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good Product, too small!!!

Added this product as an upgrade to our new home and what a mistake. The overall capacity of the dishwasher is too small, the top shelf does not extend all the way and it is not adjustable. We have glasses that we could wash in our old one that we now have to wash by hand, and if we do not thoroughly clean prior to placing in dishwasher it does not come clean. I feel we were hurried by the builder, therefore, I did not research the product fully before choosing. That was a big mistake.

I bought this machine 3-4 months ago. Works very well--- slightly limited capacity. Our space is smaller than most thus a smaller machine.

Expensive Piece of Junk!!

Our 3 year old GE dishwasher died. Our household is just my wife and I. We are very careful about loading, cleaning the dishwasher etc. After, 3 years, it simply has stopped running. Very disappointing.

Solid but could be better

Ideally the unit would be deeper, allow the top rack to come out farther, and allow control over its beeps/alerts.
