I am happy with the quality of the image but the audio level is low, even when turned up full. I read this in other reviews before I purchased this monitor but not all reviews made that comment. I don't use the audio that much and didn't want the hassle of returning the monitor. I expected better from HP.

Our experience with the HP 27fw with audio has been that we love the crisp, clear video that it brought along with its 27-inch size. When we disconnected our adjunct speakers to connect to the monitor, we were expecting great sound. We were disappointed. (I understand that there is only so much space for speakers on the back of the monitor, and was expecting a little less quality and sound, but not that much.) We immediately reconnected our adjunct speakers. I am a HP person and will continue to use their products.

The video in HD is fine. The audio is weak. Ive tried everything possible to increase volume. I gave up and bought some cheap computer speakers. Now is okay.

I bought this monitor over a month ago and tested it out before reviewing. It is an excellent monitor for both gaming and work. It has a clear image and allows you to make some adjustments as needed if you want a different image. The only downside is that it has no sound system so you will need to buy your own speakers.
