QC35 Air Travel connection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I understand no Bluetooth on airplane so tried to connect the wire that came with headphones, could not use on the three hour plane ride as wired connection to earphone jack did not work, headphones kept searching for Bluetooth signal. I was able to connect via my phone Bluetooth and listen to my music and headphones worked fine, main reason I purchased was to use on plane travel, a little dissatisfied I can not use on plane.

Hi Ed,

We're happy to see that you're enjoying your headphones.

We're sorry that you weren't able to use them when on your flight. Some airlines need an adapter to use your own headphones during flight. We have an optional adapter which you can find it here https://bose.life/3pZhZde.

very disappointed with the design and functionality. no basic features making them useless. will not purchase Bose again, feel i got ripped off and the company has lowered its standards. cheap design, dumb useless buttons, but expensive product.

Do NOT buy

I used the headphones maybe 12 times before they failed, no sound whatsoever. Took very good care of them (for the price I had to).
I've had several Bose products over the years; initially I was pleased but both this product and their Solo speaker "failed" (no sound) way short of what should have been their useful life.
I will never even consider buying Bose again and I have over two dozen high-end audio devices in my home.

Doesn’t work

Buying I understood that most people voices wouldnt be cancelled. That sucks but naively went on and bought. These absolutely do not cancel any persons voice. I can hear voices loud and clear on high cancelling setting. What makes it worst from my understanding there’s nothing I can do about these headphones because I the customized version.

Nice but did not work as well a I expected

I purchased the head phones intending to use them while I was cutting the grass or working in my shop. I have some hearing loss and was hoping I could use them to listen to music and eliminate the noise from the lawn mower and tools in my shop. The speakers were very comfortable and the sound was exactly what you expect from Bose. They did eliminate a lot of the sound but I found I had to turn the volume on the speakers up to hear the music. This defeated the purpose of having the headphones to protect my hearing.
Unfortunately I ended up taking them back. This was not my first Bose purchase and it won't be my last. Bose has a great product but this one did not work for me.

Too many updates

Why in the world is Bose updating its firmware so frequently? This frequent interruption of use is not acceptable. I was totally happy using the factory version of the firmware until the first update actually made things worse. After the first update on my headphone, all the notification sound became glitchy. None of the numerous updates following the first one was able to fix the glitch. Also, sending things important as firmware update file via Bluetooth? I don't know what to say.

I bought my Bose Quietcomfort 35 wireles headphones II three years ago. See how the ear cushions are now.
Response from bose.comBy Tori MaeCustomer Support February 6, 2020
Hello Pedro!

So happy to hear that your headphones have been going strong for 3 years now. The cushions are made from a protein leather, which can naturally deteriorate over time with use. This can be accelerated by environmental factors such as heat and humidity, but the great news is that we do stock replacement cushions. You can purchase them here https://bose.life/2uZjAWn.

I hope you continue to love your headphones for many years to come.

Kind Regards,
Tori Mae - Customer Support
