Restricted Use

I've returned mine: there is no point in paying a lot of money just to be restricted in your device choices. The cheapest of headphones does better on connecting to a device of your choice than this one, which only works appropriately with either a Google or Apple device.
Noice cancelling works always, and it works very well. But I couldn't even get to hear any music when plugging in to a non-Apple/non-Google device (e.g. another brand pc). Its dependence on the Bose app I found to be a major drawback--it's more than a nice added feature.
It's a pity to see that so amazing a brand as Bose has become subservient to these monopolists. A company with the allure of Bose should foster its independence and the universality of its products' applications, I believe.

the head phones work fine with iPhone but will not work with home receiver because of the nfc tech.

Not recommend, poor connection. Keep disconnect from a macbook pro mid 2019 every around 1 hour and I need to reconnect them.

Terrible at working with laptop

I was never happy with how it connects to my laptop and it never works properly even when it is connected. Also, randomly sometimes my bose headset is connected to my family mobile devices while I was using them and the same happens to their bose headsets. I felt software has so many bugs and not really user friendly

I'm happy to say I do have a couple of tips to help you get the most out of your headphones while using them on a computer!

We do have a handy guide on our Community Forum with a lot of helpful information here: https://bose.life/2RLsAb3. Give it a read! I'm sure you will find it useful!

To explain why your headphones do connect to other devices, they are designed to remember the 8 most recently paired devices. It will also connect to the two most recently used at the same time. You can manage your connections from the Bose Connect app as well.
