I’ve had these for a week now and I’ve just got to say that Bose has done a pretty decent job on them . I’ve used them on my holiday and this served me quite well . The noise cancelling on these is almost perfect. As for the durability last week I banged my head onto this and nothing happened to it

I just bought these and they honestly don't even drown out my dryer. For how much they cost I am incredibly disappointed.

Connectivity Issues STILL

I have owned a ton of different styles and types of headphones.in my opinion these are the most comfortable I’ve ever worn and I do truly love the Bose Signature Sound at least that’s what I call it.Not real high in the volume department or real bass heavy just nice and warm sounding. But as far as Connectivity goes forget it. I’ve exchanged my QC35II’s at least 10 times (NoJoke) I have a iPhone XsMAX and you cannot have the phone away from you at all update or not it doesn’t matter. Which is strange because my Bose Soundsports work better not perfect but I can go further. So what’s the point of owning great sounding comfortable headphones if the constantly clip out and disconnect........NONE!!!!!And from I read on the reviews of the new 700’s they have the same problem Come on Bose get it together!!!!

Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to review your QC35 II headphones. Although it's great to hear that you really enjoy their sound profile, I am sorry that you have been experiencing this connection issue. I understand that it must be very frustrating. It would be interesting to know whether you have had the opportunity to test your headphones with another device and if the issue is still present when you do?
In any case, we want to make sure that you get the most out of your product and the Customer Service team remains at your disposition if you need further assistance.
Warm regards. Anne - Customer Service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would have kept these over the NC 700 if they had the ambient noise feature. More comfortable than the NC 700, they disappear on my head. Love them! Would love to see an update!

Doesn’t block sound
on December 5, 2019

We bought these as part of an early Christmas gift. The Alexa function and app work well. They look nice. The downside is that the music isn’t played in stereo and sounds flat (in any of the noise cancellation settings), to block outside noises I must turn them all the way up to drown sounds out when what I hoped was to listen to my music at a comfortable volume versus so loud my ears hurt. Some examples I’ve tried it in...while drying laundry at home, in a group office setting, on the bus. I also wanted to listen to meditation and know if I fell asleep the alarm would wake me by coming through the headphones and NOT my phone but instead it stops the music and blasts the alarm out my phone... I really wanted to love these. So far they are disappointing. I’m hoping I can dig around on the app to see if these issues can be corrected eg petsonalize the noisecancellation, get the headphones to play with stereo/surround sound, choose which device I want to hear alarms.

Hello,
I'm sorry to hear you have not had a positive overall experience with the QC35 II Noise Cancelling Headphones.
ANC (active noise cancelling) works on the premise that audio that is picked up by external microphones is fed into a chip that analyzes the sound, in real-time providing a feed of this into the headphones, at the same time, the audio that is being captured has its audio phase inverted, which is what creates the canceling effect. It works great on continuous sounds, like the drone of an aircraft engine, but not so much on smaller sounds, like keys on a work surface, or speech.
The audio that is being captured has a slight delay due to the time it requires to invert the phase of the audio signal, therefore the effect works much better with continuous sounds because it can utilize audio that was produced a few milliseconds beforehand and still cancel out the audio that is happening in real-time. Sharp hits, like the keys, or like you said, hands rubbing together, are short individual non-continuous sounds, so the chip has nothing to reference it to, therefore the sound then creeps through.
With regards to the audio playback. The headphones stream in full stereo, so I would recommend checking the media device to ensure no mono settings have been enabled. Be aware some older songs are mixed and mastered in mono. This also applies to services like YouTube where the music may have been uploaded in a mono format.
I hope this helps clear things up.
Kind regards,
Jeff G - Customer Support

Awesome noisy cancellation

I have many BOSE products and love them all. The latest to my collection is the Quietcomfort 35 II! I got these for several reasons. I wanted to be able to make work phone calls with them at a busy & loud office, listen to music and play my electric drums. They work perfectly for all 3 and are very versatile. I love that they cancel out any other noises and Im able to escape to focus on work or music. The headphones are very comfortable and I have been able to wear them for hours without any compilations. They are lightweight even though they come across like they might be heavy. The sound is amazing and very high quality. I am able to hear background instruments in the music that Ive never heard before. If you are looking to purchase a new pair of headphones, I highly recommend the BOSE Quietcomfort 35 II!
