Unhappy with Noise Cancellation. Update issue?

I recently (two weeks back) bought the QC 35s without knowing the series II were coming out. Returned my old ones and upgraded to the new ones yesterday. I am not enjoying the noise cancellation on the new ones, and I think the older ones were better. Also not happy with the exclusion of the airplane connector that were previously included in the box.
On noise cancellation, the headphones seemed great until an update popped up in the companion app. I noticed a significant difference in noise cancellation after the update and now I can't tell the difference between the 'low' and 'high' noise cancellation. I can hear the spacebar press on the 'high' setting on these when I couldn't hear anything with the QC35s (old version). Also cannot figure out how to get the 'action' button to work with the google assistant app on iPhone. Considering returning these to the store for another pair, or get a refund and wait it out until there are significant reviews for the new ones.

Great headphones

I got these headphones a month ago and mainly for use while training for marathons. I needed headphones that were of quality, lightweight, cordless and noise cancelling. These headphones have a battery life of around 20 hours. I only need to charge them once a week. They are impact resistant also. My favorite thing about these headphones is the ability to use google assistant making my training sessions so much easier. I can run for hours without constantly checking my phone for my texts and other business. The sound quality is amazing!

Another Great Bose product

Just as I would expect from Bose......another great sounding product. The noise cancelling feature works really well at both the low & high settings. I haven't used the Google Assistantfeature that much so far. Seems like a cool new feature.Worked extremely well when connected to my iPhone for making phone calls. Music is crisp & clear at all volume levels. The Bluetooth needs some work. I found that it will only connect to one device at a time. Once paired to a device it must be removed in order to be used on another device. Hopefully Bose will fix this bug in the near future.

Great headphones - as expected.... BUT.....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bose used to include a two prong headphone adapter plug with earlier models of these headphones along with other models... BUT beware that it is NOT included in this model. Why Bose cannot include a one dollar part as it used to for this price is hard to understand. Why do I bring this us... not all airlines have a single jack earphone adapter plug. For example, I just flew from the US to Korea on a new Delta A350 - and guess what, this aircraft uses a dual jack earphone plug. Imagine purchasing a new set of headphones, getting on the plane for a 14 hour flight only to find out you cannot use your headphones without a two prong earphone jack adapter - fortunately I had one with me from a prior Bose set of headphones. Otherwise this would be a 5 star. Google Assist? Not sure why when I have an iPhone - plus rather my privacy than Google tracking me more than it already does. Just a gimick.

The ability to adjust the noise cancelling depth, having Alexa 'on board' plus the built in Bluetooth make for a worthwhile investment. Truly the best product on the market.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i have General Anxiety and some of the things i struggle with is loud noises, so my family surprised me with Bose QuietConfort 35 Wireless Headphone II ,i got them from Christmas as a gift, my family knows i struggle with loud noises, first time i enjoyed Christmas with my family for a hole day, did not have to escape to calm myself down, and they fit perfectly and i do not get uncomfortable wearing them,when i figured out i can select noise reduction level i even started wearing them when i am driving or connect my Pc when i play games or talk online

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use these headphones almost every single day. Going on vacations and sleeping a room with my family is no longer something I worry about. If I can't sleep at night due to noise, I pop my headphones on and play white noise. Then, I am able to fall asleep. I also go to the library to do schoolwork, and sometimes it can be quite noisy in there. I put on my headphones with my music. Not only do the headphones completely drown out the noise, but they have amazing sound quality which really gets me in my zone so that I can focus.

Would be great if it works

Brand New just out of the box and it sounds great, but the NC does not work, Alexis (Amazon) doesn't work, the action button does not work! In other words it's a great sounding headphones, but that's all. All the special features do not work and it is brand new! It is a gift from my daughter who is in the Army and I can't and won't tell her!!
So I have a nice headphones but that's all!!
