Life saver for nursing school!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These headphones got me through nursing school/studying with the noise cancellation of my obnoxious neighbors. I would study with the noise cancellation high and study of hours. I passed my last class with honors thanks to my headphones and great music! The director of the program highly recommended the headphones to study to make sure I didn't have distractions along the way. Once I passed school I went and got my daughter a pair. highly recommended!

Wonderful Headphones

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sound quality is exceptional, and the noise cancelling is very good. The feature I like the most, for day to day operations, is the fact that I can connect my phone and my PC at the same time. I listen to music (from my PC) while working at home and music stops when a phone call arrives. Perfect, no need to put the phone screen in front of me to keep an eye on it. Battery is quite good too.

100% Disappointed

Bluetooth connection drops all the time (using iPhone 11) and the Bose Connect app doesn't work. Also, now a continuous electric "buzzzzz" comes from both headphones, even if they are switched OFF! I purchased my headphones on June 24, 2019 but Bose tells me the product is no longer in warranty... wait, wasn't it a 12-month warranty? Double-thumbs down! M.S.

Sound quality is great, but mic is pathetic

I bought QuietComfort 35 recently and started using for office calls. Sound quality is great, but the other parties are NOT able to hear me clearly. They keep complaining that my voice is pretty low. I use the headset with my iPhone 6S plus and most of the times, I end up disconnecting my headphones and start talking direclty on my cell phone.
Do we have a solution for this?
Thanks.

Terrible Battery Design

For the amount of money these headphones cost, it is dumbfounding that you cannot replace the batteryand from the research I've done you can also not send them in for repair. I have only had these headphones a year and now the battery no longer charges and now my only option is to replace them? Sorry Bose I've always loved your headphones but this is one of the stupidest design choices you've ever made and I refuse to waste hard-earned money o nreplacing this inferior product and I will not be supporting you by buying a different model. I'm going to go to one of your competitors until you learn that the design choices you make can greatly how people view your brand

QC35 Gave me my life back

I am writing to provide you with positive feedback regarding your QC35 Noise cancelling headset. I believe the unique way in which I have used the device may be quite different from the average consumer. Please allow me to provide you with some of background that lead up to the purchase. In April of 2015 I suffered Sudden Sensorineural Deafness leaving me completely deaf in my left ear. I received a Cochlear Implant in July of that year, and in August after the initial activation began the long, frustrating process of retraining my brain to translate electrical impulses rather than sound waves. The external portion of the device sits on my ear and is attached to the transmitter in my head by way of a magnet. The ear unit has three microphones, two in the device and one in front of my ear cavity. Initially when the device was turned on, I could only hear noises similar to “boings” for every sound it picked up. Gradually, over the time period since the activation, I am now able to understand about 67% of speech but not much else. One of the major problems, as with any open microphone, allows the device to pick up every noise in the environment in conjunction to the spoken word and ultimately also feeds that to the brain, often drowning out the speech that I was trying to focus on. While working at Massachusetts Eye and Ear with my Audiologist, who is also a sound recording engineer, the concept of getting something to limit, block out, everything that I didn’t want my brain to hear, then I should be able to retrain my brain quicker and more effectively. After speaking to a former student, who is also one of your engineers, we decided that the QC35 or its previous generation with its larger ear cup was worth the attempt. This ear cup would cover the entire external device with its microphones and thus extract the extraneous noises to allow the brain to only focus on what I wanted it to. I would often hear noises like the circulating fan of an AC unit, or plates being rattled in the kitchen, or conversations around me by other people, all much louder than the person I was attempting to communicate with. If successful, this might be an important solution and hopeful improvement when I listened to music or the television. I must explain, that music and sound reproduction have always been my life. My musical history stems around having directed school concert and marching bands for 20 years. In addition, to have also conducted over 75 summer stock musical productions as well as being a national music adjudicator for band competitions as well as Drum Corps International. My listening skills which I have developed over my lifetime, are very critically analytical and to now only be capable of hearing music only monaurally became extremely frustrating and depressing. After purchasing the QC35 head set, I used it in conjunction with my wireless transmitter attached to the television. Although it did remove the extraneous environmental noises, only the spoken word and some rhythmic sound were audible. The breakthrough came on Wednesday when I synced the headset wirelessly to my IPod, and for the very first time since I had lost my hearing, I “heard the music”, strings, horns, percussion in addition to the vocally performed words. My philosophy had been correct, I just needed to give the time for my brain to adjust. The sound quality is far from wonderful. The sound quality through the device would be akin to listening to a transistor radio speaker. However, for the very first time I could hear the elements of the music being performed. Your marvelous headset began to give me my musical life back. I have used Bose products for over 50 years beginning with the early sound systems, to the home entertainment systems, Bose Wave and wireless speakers in addition to earbuds and hard wired headsets. The concept of using an element like the QC35 as a possible solution to my problem had escaped me. I must apologize for the length of this review, but I felt that you needed to understand my entire back round to better understand what a wonderful discovery and experience this headset provided and the impact it has had on my life. In addition, I also hope that this could be passed along to other Cochlear patients as a possible assistance to any listening problems they might be experiencing.

Blue Collar Deluxe! If you work outside, get them

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't typically go out of my way to post reviews on many things but I have been inspired to do so for this product. To get right to it, I am a professional landscaper that spends up to 10 hours a day 6 days a week on mowers, running weed wackers, you name it. On the other hand I am a serious tech junkie that can appreciate quality gadgets and superior audio equipment and am not afraid to put them to the test. My QC35s have seen harsh Sun and all forms of weather you can throw at them for the past 3 years. Dust, dirt, rain, sweat, you name it. I have knocked them off my head stepped on them, dropped them on concrete and asphalt, to the point I can't even remember everything I've done to them. Any other device of like nature would have died a long time ago. Outside of the obvious dings and scratches that have occured, these things are built like a feather weight tank and haven't missed a beat "literally" since the day I first bought them. The noise cancelling and mic noise-cancelling abilities are well beyond what I expected under these conditions, and far exceeded my expectations within these conditions. When full charged they will go all day knocking out the deafening noises and giving me exceptional music / talk show listening and the amazing ability to take calls clearly with all that going on! These things have seriously ruined my work ethnic, because I won't even consider working without them in this line of work again. Unfortunately someone stole my headsets a few months ago after work season, but one way or another you can bet I will find the extra coin for a new set as soon as I can. Anyhow I hope this review helps someone realize these are are not just some fragile luxery show piece that needs to be handled with silk gloves. The QCs are "professional grade" equipment that can handle the riggers of a haddcore working environment and are worth every penny spent.
