Only the best will satisfy this picky consumer

I did some research on the internet and discovered most of the reviews discovered many of the reviewers favored the Sony model WH1000XM2. So I had to find out for myself how they stacked up to the Bose's QC35s. The Sonys did have a slight advantage in the lower base but what Sony didn't have over the Bose was the total background noise. This became quite obvious when no music was playing. The Boss was totally quiet! Sometimes nothing is better than something which was this! And the Sony's had some cool controls on the head set such as muting the sound when responding to a call by placing your hand over one of the headset's ear phone. But with the Bose muting was autoautomaticly. Also the Feature of skipping yo the next track was performed by sliding the hand either forward or backwards to advancing or going back to the previous track. I found this feature was problematic in performing this funtion. The reason for my difficulty was trying to get to work. If you didn't slide your hand exactly to the front or to the rear I would accidentally control the volume instead of skipping a track or going back a track. I admit the difficulty I had with this feature was due to the way in which I was sliding the head piece. The app for the Sonys was somewhat too technical. Simplicity is better! I might have gone with the Sonys if it was as quiet as the Bose.

Great Noise Canceling Headphones

I’ve tried just about every name brand ANC headphones and the QC35 II is still the best noise canceling headphones on the block. It’s also very comfortable for people with big ears like mine so I could wear them all day long as long as the room temperature is comfortable. I like the flatter sound frequency it produces compared to other brands. The only two that came close with the QC35 II’s ANC was the beats studio 3 and the Sony (Can’t remember the actual model). Both of them sounded good too but the Sony was very uncomfortable after a few minutes of wearing. Surprisingly, the Beats Studio 3 sounded very good and was also comfortable. Too bad, the ANC wasn’t as great as the Bose’s. I love how the QC35 II integrates with Google Asistant and still be able to use Siri. The only two things I don’t like is that the headphones always default to ANC high every time you turn them on. If you’re using Google assistant, you’d have to navigate to the app to adjust the ANC level. Also, the battery life could be better. Other than that, it’s been working flawlessly. I use it every day specially while traveling.

After being forced to move to an open office situation with the loudest of co-workers, I thought I was going to quit my job. I began researching noise cancelling headphones and the QC35IIs kept coming us so highly rated. I know hear and see why. I can't hear any of the racket that my co-workers make! The ANC is amazing. The sound quality is really good. I found I needed to tweak the EQ in iTunes to remove the overwhelming mid-frequencies which really helped with the bass response that many complain about.
All in all these are worth every penny that I spent!

Buyer Beware: Design Defect

Initially I was very impressed with the noise canceling ability, sound quality, and battery life of the headphones. Unfortunately, after a few years of light use the power switch began to malfunction. Now I am unable to turn the headphones "on" or "off" by using the power switch. Instead, each time I charge the headphones they automatically turn on and automatically connect to both of my devices -- whether I am ready to use them yet or not. Due to this defect there is no way to conserve the battery power of the headphones rendering them unusable. I have been satisfied with multiple Bose products in the past; however, I simply cannot recommend this product. Is too expensive of a piece of technology to have such a fatal design flaw.

Hey there, I'm very glad to hear that you were blown away by the performance of the headset for the first few years of usage!
However, I'm sorry to see that you are now having some very odd power issues. These steps here https://bose.life/2UZPUm8 will resolve this for you.

I don't write reviews much but I wanted to let everyone know if you willing to spend this is the best headphone you can buy on the market. I own many Bose products and true loyal customer. I used this on the airplane and as always I got unlucky with the seat right next to the engine. Let me tell you this was the main reason I bought the QC35 and they did their job well on the plane. I was so satisfied that the headphone blocked all the noise and was able to listen to my music so peacefully and sleep through the flight. The sound quality is outstanding and out of this world. I wish it can be enriched more and louder. The build quality is awesome, only thing I wished here was complete leather head piece. Overall I really enjoyed this product and use this daily. The best product out there.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchase this headset as being my very first Bose product, and with skepticism from not having a pair in the past, I was completely blown out of the water to the quality of sound this headset reproduces. The lows and highs seem to be optimally tuned with a crisp clear reproduction of sound. You can't go wrong with this purchase!
