Great headphones (but terrible microphone)

These are great sound isolating headphones, but the microphone is rubbish. It picks up ambient sound terribly, and is worse than the in-built headset. Also, whenever you switch between normal use and calls, the headset loops the microphone audio back into the headset.
So, great if you don't want to make calls with it. If you do, go with something else.

Fine when they work - awful when they don't

I got these as a birthday gift a couple months ago and was really excited to use them to study, but find that they slip and the "noise canceling" isn't all it's cracked up to be. Additionally, when connected to two devices (as intended) sound skips, and recently I have been having issue with awful tin-can crunchy audio. These will be going back.

Hi!

I'm sorry to hear of the issues you seem to be experiencing with the noise-canceling. If you still have the headphones, I would recommend trying some troubleshooting to get these working correctly.

I would suggest making sure your firmware is up to date on the headphones. You can do this by following the instructions here: https://bose.life/3aStEAM.

If this is unsuccessful, please get in contact with us using the details here: https://bose.life/37B0014. We'll do all we can to assist you in getting your birthday gift working correctly!

Thanks!

Unfortunately it gave me a headache

The headset is light, sound is great but I get a headache every time I use it! 2 months ago we had a flood in our building so now I share an office space with someone at work. It's challenging to share a space, I am a programmer and it's helpful for me to focus when it's quite, so I found this because of some of the good reviews that I read. It's sad that I didn't had the same experience.I get a headache whenever I use the surround sound, and when I don't I can hear noise in the background. This headset is super expensive, I can buy an earplug to mask the noise for way way cheaper. I wish this worked out, I save and waited so I can buy this as a gift to myself for Christmas. I guess not all pricey stuff can't guarantee the quality.

Great headphones...poor durability on the earpiece

Is there a way to get new earpieces for these headphones? I don't feel the need to return them and pay for a new pair when the only issue with them is that the earpieces are falling apart. At an almost $500 dollar investment, I would hope that they would stay together for longer than a couple of years.

I can’t get the Bluetooth light to go off even when these are off. Is Bose listening? Are these things hacked. I don’t trust them.
Response from bose.comBy nicole leboeufCustomer SupportMay 22, 2020
Hello,

This certainly should not be happening, but do not worry, your headphones will not be hacked/listening to you. Please do get in contact with our support team as we'd love to run through some troubleshooting. Details can be found via the contact link at the bottom of this site.

Kind regards,

To much latency

They sound decent but they have an extreme amount of latency. Strictly for music and not for watching movies, as the latency is so high the dialog is out of sync with what you see. Surprised for the money this is an issue.

Adequate

I bought this headphone some two years ago. The sound, although not spectacular, is quite adequate. (I listen to classical music.) The earpieces are bulky, therefore uncomfortable when lying down. It attenuates sound only at certain frequencies, such as airplane motor or AC noise. This is my second Bose headphones. Time to try another brand.

Best NC headphone at Bose, not at the market

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the best headphones available at Bose till now, the sound quality is amazing and very comfortable and light, the battery also good but not great comparing to other products in other shops.
also the App (Bose connect) have alot of flaws and issues.. does not work properly, very weak app.
Voice pick up is not bad..
if they fix the app and they improve the battery life..
overall still a great product and satisfied with it.
