Pairs with iPad 10.5" but not with iPad 9.7". Disappointing. Definitely not "one size fits all."

Good headphones but disconnect far too often

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am overall happy with these headphones because they provide top notch audio and noise cancellation. The problem is they have a horrible tendency to disconnect from my laptop repeatedly. Sometimes I try 10+ times to keep them connected but they fail to stay connected. Because of this, I am disappointed with my purchase.

Hello Sam,
Thank you for writing your review. We're are sorry to hear that you are experiencing this with the QC 35 II. Here are a few suggestions and we recommend that you try to see if it will help:
1. Have you tried connecting to the other devices to test if you would experience the same issue? If you haven't t we advise you do so.
2. Also, we would recommend you remove your QC 35 from the Bluetooth list of the laptop. This can be done by accessing the Bluetooth list of your laptop, locating the headphones and forgetting it.
3. If the issue still persists after the above two, I would recommend giving your product a reset which should help correct certain errors. This can be done by:
-Turn off the headset and wait 30 seconds. -Plug the headset into a wall outlet using a USB charger, then wait 5 seconds. -Unplug the USB cord from the headset and wait 1 minute. -Turn on the headset.
We hope this was helpful.
Let us know you get on.
Kindest regards,
Prince O

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I lost my QuietComfort 35 first edition and bought these to replace, however, they sit annoyingly on top of the crown of my head unlike the old version. I wore those on a 15 plus hour flight and barely noticed them, but these annoy me after about 30 minutes and I find I need to adjust the position. Maybe its because they have more movement in the ear cans? I also noticed the battery power drops faster than before. Overall still amazing sound, but I don't know if I would have purchased at this price after the redesign if I would have tried them out longer.

Hi Je15,
I'm so glad that you are continuing to enjoy the Bose sound through the QC35 II.
I'm sorry to hear that you are finding them uncomfortable. To reassure you, the QC35 series 1 and 2 have the same design in terms of the headband and the cups. The only difference is the addition of the action button to control your Noise Cancelation or your Virtual assistant. If you are concerned about the battery life of your headphones, I would suggest you contact our Technical Support Team for assistance. One of our agents will be more than happy to assist you.
Thank you for taking the time to review our product.
Kindest,
Kerri - Customer Support

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I could not find instructions in my box.. no photos of how things work or how to connect Bluetooth with my phone. Found it by accident. I don’t like to have play with something new to get it to work. I still need instructions for further additions of items.

Simple Flaws Hold It Back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Out of the box the headphones are great, they connected to my devices without issue and felt great. The sound quality was and still is sublime, and the noise cancellation works great. In concern to sound quality, noise cancellation, and Bluetooth capabilities, these headphones can stand toe to toe with any competitor.
Now for the flaw: the ear piece. The ear piece will begin to wear away and smell by month 4 (if you use regularly). By month 12 the ear piece will have a terrible lingering stench and you will be able to see the foam, making public appearances with these embarrassing. At month 17 I lost the foam piece inside the right ear cup, hurting sound quality, comfort, and the appearance. This flaw might be easy to over look, IF Bose sold a replacement ear piece set, and of that replacement could be easily installed. As it stands the only replacements come from third parties using the Bose brand name and Chinese manufacturers. The actual process of interchanging the ear pieces is surprisingly difficult.
To be fair to Bose, they have already filled a product warranty that caused an issue with my original QC 35's so for me, I've gotten 4+ years out of one payment of $350, which in the grand scheme of things isn't so bad.
As a note I rated Sound quality and noise cancellation as they were with a functional ear piece, and I rated the rest as they were roughly 1 year into ownership, as I've reached that milestone twice.

Great for music but stutters during TV usage

Purchased on 1/4/2020. Upon receiving I updated the firmware to 4.52. The Noise Cancellation quality remained excellent. Music from iPhone and computer sounds fantastic. However, when using BT on my Samsung TV there is periodic stuttering and drops. I went through the self help procedures outlined in the BOSE support community site to no avail. The sound quality does improve when I delete my BT Soundbar device from the TV. I also found that unpairing the QC35 II from my phone seems to improve the quality of sound from my TV even more.
