Why in the world am I having to print the 36 page manual ... my headphones (brand new) are not connecting to the app. For the price this should be included.

Hello Barbara G,
Thanks for the sharing your experience with the QC 35 Series II headset. We're sorry to hear that you're having trouble connecting to the Bose Connect app. If the headset is not showing up in the app, be sure it's not charging. The Headset will not pair with a device if it is plugged in to charge. Remove the charge cable from the headset to pair a device or to put the headset into discoverable mode.

You can also try giving the headset a reboot by following the steps below:

1. Turn the headset off and wait for 30 seconds.
2. Plug the headset into a USB power supply via USB cord and wait 5
seconds. (Power supply needs to be plugged into the wall with power on).
3. Unplug USB cord from the headset and wait 1 minute.
4. Turn on the headset and test if the headset works properly.
