Really important to ensure you add enough liquids. It's noisy but works well with enough fluids. Noisy which I don't mind because it blends really quickly.
What has been frustrating for me is mine came without the rubber gasket so is leaking all over. I've ordered some but they are taking forever to arrive.

I have now made 5 or 6 smoothies with it, each using decreasing amounts of liquid. I'm surprised at how well it blends with very little liquid, making a very thick smoothy, and also how fast it blends. Apparently the motor is powerful and the cutting blades are configured such that circulation of materials through them is very efficient. I often try to blend so that a fair amt of fiber remains (in other words, I don't want my smoothies to be super liqufied), and that often only takes about 5-7 seconds.
