Definitely a well-used item in the household as it is small, powerful, and convenient for smoothies. The blades are quite durable and can handle frozen fruit, although I'm not sure how ice would handle. Water or juice must be added to the mix, otherwise the blades won't incorporate everything in the cup. And occasionally the o-ring falls off but is easily replaceable.
